I have one of his jerseys from back in the day when they were actually long sleeve and were so heavy and had so much cotton in it you could make 5 pair of jeans lol. Running with this thing on had to slow a player down. I compare it to my Hit man , hundred yr anniversary version and it’s night and day,

I watched Carl Eller from 1969 till 1973 ! I was Delighted and Disappointed in his Playing ! He was a Mostly exciting and Brilliant ! and then came The Super Bowl 4 ? What Happened ? Dave Hill the Right Tackle did a Excellent job on Eller ! He was pretty much nonexistent ! He was only outweighed by 23lbs !Minnesota was a Team that could Never win the Big one ! Hank Stram of KC Chiefs had much bigger players especially on defense ! Joe Kapp to me was Tough but was not as Good as Len Dawson ! Towards the end The Bigger KC Defense started to wear down the Viking Offense and Joe Kapp got the Crap kicked out of him ! Don’t get me wrong as far as I am concerned the 1970 Minnesota Vikings would have Dominated today’s Football teams ! Today’s teams don’t have the Love or devotion like they had back then ! Thank you Carl Eller and the Purple People Eaters ! And to All the Great and Talented Football Players alive and Dead for Entertaining us and Reminding us How Great America was back then and what Dedication was to your Sport ! The Last Great Football player has Retired and that was Tom Brady ! He was the only player who would have been As Great then as he was Before he retired !

Somebody put a clip of Alan Page: The Original JJ Watt. I would say JJ resembles Carl the best. The director said it best about being Carl appearing "as this imposing figure that lacks intellect but when it comes to work, he has high intellect and deep sensitivity to his craft. JJ is the same way.
