I really hope Tuomas Holopainen get's to see this cover! We are all so proud of it, and finnaly being able to present it to you all. Tuomas's art and his music has made such a huge impact on me I am not sure I can ever describe this in words. I am fan of NW since 1996 (they formed then). I rarely have tolerated or listened to specific covers (Wishmaster is one of them). But after I saw and enjoyed this video I remained speechless. This is one of those performances which makes you smile and cry at the same time. This is how good art works. Way to go Minniva .

This cover is awesome. Even if it is the longest project you did so far. It was really worth it to include the violin part from Abby and rearrange everything. The intrumental from Quentin is perfect. You three look awesome in this video. This is again a great masterpiece of collaboration. It seems like you had a great time recording the song and shooting the video. Minniva, keep the tradition alive. Find a band, people to write amazing lyrics, and tour. My favorite Nightwish song, done to perfection. Tarja would be so proud. I know the song word by word, note by note, but it finally dawned on me. The part where it mentions Inn of Last Home is a reference, of sorts, to the original Dungeons and Dragons, Dragonlance series. And the chorus matches characters from those books. Amazingly awesome.

Well, Tarja had given her notice. She already told the band she would quit after the next album. The band just decided to make it happen earlier. They didn't like too much when Tarja said next time she would only tour two weeks at a time. She couldn't handle the 5 gigs in a week rhythm, she wanted to cut the amount of the gigs, but the band didn't want to, so that was a dividing dispute with them. Well, there were more, but neither Tarja nor Tuomas would speak of it public.

I'm finding again my favorite songs in a new way! I was afraid I would be disapointed, because well, Tarja is just awesome with the original. But I loved this. Have heard it so many times with tarja, it was refreshing to hear a new voice, and doing it great. You don't sing this quite with the same spacious classical sounding voice as Tarja does, but it doesn't matter, I love it the way you sing it too. More than I thought possible.

Maybe in contemporary style songs it does, I have to listen those from Minniva. I haven't heard so many of her songs yet to say. But there is one big difference in this song: Tarja sings it classical style and Minniva in contemporary. Minniva's voice is sweet and beautiful but it doesn't sound the spacious and clean voice of Tarja's: their technique of singing is quite different.
