I never had a clue how simple it is to take a prop off!! Really good video because trolling motors are way too expensive to watch them fall apart

*Great little trolling motor **enjoyable.fishing** recommend had it hooked up to my 15 foot old town canoe and it pushed it pretty good with me and my son (220 pounds each).*

New fishing boat owner here. Appreciate the hints and tips for my trolling motor. May seem obvious to the experienced, but great to the new guys! Thanks

Great little motor I put on my 14’ flat bottom John boat. Strong and quiet. I would recommend it to anyone.

It would be great if you could explain how to adjust direction of foot controlled trolling motor. I've got minn cota maxus 65 from previous boat owner. The motor is turned almost 180 back by default. So, i have to keep my foot on the controller all the time to go forward. How to center it?

Question: After inspection of the prop shaft, do you put any grease (silicone grease or 24C grease) on the shaft near the seal?
@MinnKotaMotors Жыл бұрын
Alan Aho, You can spray a little WD- 40 in the area where the shaft goes through the seals. Best Regards.

OK Minn Kota, I am in a remote area. What is the size of the prop drive pin and what is the material it is made out of ? I want to protect my investment.

James Athendune, We would need to know what model your motor is to give you that information. Do you have a serial number off the trolling motor? Best regards.
@jamesathendune9026 Жыл бұрын
@@MinnKotaMotors It is an old PowerDrive bought just before Spotlock was introduced. I can not access the serial number because the unit is in Ontario on an island and I am in Manitoba.

James Athendune, The measurement on the drive pin is .125 in diameter and 1.065 in length. The drive pin is made out of hardened steel. Best regards.
