she meant the style, for you to draw exactly like another artist, you have to draw and draw tons of that artists work to be able reproduce it exactly, and thats what se wanted there, and i guess thats what anyone would want when you are drawing a mural of your favorite characters, you want them to look as the original author draws them.

When you use a marker like a paintbrush, the kind she was using, the fast strokes from the thin tip of the marker make it look like shiney hair. You could probably use a paintbrush too.

Screentones can also get expensive in Japan. I had to buy some for my manga class a few years ago in Japan. The more different kinds you need, the more expensive it gets. That's why I decided to buy Clip Studio Expert instead.
