I enjoyed this so much. I spent time in Minsk in 2013 and 2014. It's beautiful and feels like something out of a time capsule. I walked miles and miles. The people are wonderful!

Hey, I agree with what you wrote. I just came back from Minsk and i miss it already. We've been to the 950 years celebrations of the city, my buddy ran the half marathon, the nightlife was excellent and most of all i loved the people of Minsk, so kind, good looking, courteous and pleasant.

From the video, Minsk looks amazing and very clean. Looking at this video, there doesn't seem to be the high level of traffic compared to most cities and the roads are wide. Is this really the case?
@DirtyRC1019 жыл бұрын
jonapsh Traffic is alright, it´s worse going by subway in the mornings and evenings.
@ИванКудрявцев-й7х9 жыл бұрын
+jonapsh Apparently the film was shot not in the rush hour, Yes the plugs are in the morning and in the evening. But large caps are sometimes rare. So the traffic for the capital is very good.

The architecture of the church at 1:35 resembles the mission in Santa Barbara, CA, USA. No it does not look exactly alike, but it is similar with the two high sides and lower in the middle, plus the window design and the rounding off of the two high ends at the top.

Honestly, it looks like a perfectly normal Eastern European country to me. I don't understand what all these people down below here are complaining about.
@Maacieek909 жыл бұрын
+Врач ред Belarus it's normal, because they have a normal president and didn't join to EU :) EU is a cancer for all of us right now and people who are compaining don't know anything about Belarus I guess. Look at Poland for an example..everything has changed If you look at infrastructure, oh yeah, but besides that? Most of people are feeling bad by lvl of earning, life. We can also add here a propagand anti nationality etc etc..and current goverment is an asslicker of Germany and USA.
@MinskGuide7 жыл бұрын
It is, in fact, a central European country (geographically right in the center of Europe). Live here for a few years - you will know about complaints below better =) Welcome on a current visa-free program!

With which country u want comparasion? "Costly" have many meanings depending on people. So it's hard to answer for your question. For 1000$/month you can live here without any borders.

@TheImbris9 жыл бұрын
they give, but they cost much
@stephan32739 жыл бұрын
It's not that hard to visit Belarus, a visa will cost around €60 for most European countries. You just need an invitation from a licensed travel company, unless you apply for a private visa then the name and adress of the person who you know there is enough. I just came back from Minsk, have been celebrating the 9th May.

Why people in Belarus accept the dictatorship ? are they happy with it? if someone from the country can answer me , the best...
@matrix-path-of-neo9 жыл бұрын
***** Thanks for answering and making this clear to me as a total ignorant of your history. I thought your prez was ruling since 1994 as a dictactor (21 years is a long period for 1 man in charge) and compared him to other rulers like in North Korea or Turkmenistan that serve in power until they die... my only doubt is if Alexander Lukashenko was born in USSR he is not from Belarus, so he changed the law after he got in hold of power? Thanks again ! , The city of Minsk is beautiful !
@kirillkozak66449 жыл бұрын
In Belarus there is dictatorship, I'm talking to you as a citizen
@LoricCacani9 жыл бұрын
+Kirill Kozak Believe me, as someone who comes from a country that was governed by a President that was perceived as dictator (Serbia, Milosevic), it was much better than. Now with this puppet regime we are in semi-colonial status. Plus, there were more freedom of speech during Milosevic rule. It sounds crazy, but it's true. It was allowed to criticize Milosevic, now it's impossible to criticize government as there are no free press. Most important, Serbia has strong agriculture, but the quality of food dropped severely in post-Milosevic time (GMO).

+matrixpathofneo Probably they're better off there, than all the crap we have to endure in our so called 'Democratic' countries with corrupt governments controlled by greedy bankers and industrialists that really have the power. They control the media, and orchestrate all these false flag terrorist attacks. I would love to live somewhere peaceful, that i know i can trust what i see and read. Kudos to Belarus and it's people....I must visit someday.
