I AGREE THEY DIDNT APPRECIATE THIS PERFORMANCE
@jasminehouston-burns16919 ай бұрын
I think camera mics just don't pick up on crowd responses well which leads to people who think any performer deserves anything coming and also basically suggesting they're smarter than everyone to say the crowd was lame. I really think it's just the mics. If you think a mostly black audience in the heyday of this song, "didn't appreciate" it, I think you're not really thinking critically.

That's the days when the label wanted Mint to appear that they were among the cluster of 90's vocal groups like Shai, Silk, and Jodeci and once were even convinced to do a track show. After that they said never again after hearing someone in the audience complained them damn computers. Lol

I remember watching this live and was wondering why the audience was giving it such a cold reception. They sounded better than the record. They didn't get into it until the very end when he was scat'n. It took them a while, but at least they finally got it. It reminds me of a video I saw of Jimi Hendrix performing "Hey Joe" in front of this audience. They didn't get what they just experienced. I bet both audiences look back and can't believe what they just witnessed.
