Always wondered...what kind of a following do you think these cars would have if it wasn't in the BTTF films? Regardless, they are neat cars with an interesting story to tell of its past.

There is no doubt the BTTF films have helped keep these cars relevant for all these years. Would there still be some around without? Sure. But not nearly as many.

Excellent! Kevin mentioned “corduroy” pattern on the stock graining. It didn’t show up on the camera. I know what corduroy material is, but what is that on the graining? Does it have to do with the type of wheel they used on it?

I call the darker and lighter striping some cars have corduroy. Maybe 1/8" wide. Only consistent with original graining.

Is that a bump or hump in the roof in front of the louvers and between the door tops? Right dead center... Maybe a warp or did someone/thing pry up on that? @13:49 Beautiful car!

The factory never made any right hand drive. But they commissioned about 20 to be converted by a separate facility as expiramental.

@@davidbublitz6571 that's amazing. Never knew that. Many thanks for the info. We can't import any left hand drives into south africa since before 2000. So the few we have here never go on sale. I have ecto 1, a team and a 1983 pontiac which will be converted soon. The delorean is a bucket list item. I enjoy your dmc finds videos.

It only takes 14" of clearance to open the gullwing doors. I was actually able to get it opened fully.
