Mint works decently enough for me in NYC with an iPhone 13 mini. Note that I transitioned away from AT&T Prepaid and set up my service with Mint using a virtual sim card, and my cell phone number porting was fast and flawless. For $240/year I'm now getting a 15GB/mo data plan. Sometimes I can't lock on to a strong signal compared to others who are with other providers but, all things considered, Mint's incredibly low cost and reliable cellular service makes their prepaid plans an amazing deal.

I have changed my phone number on Mint 2 separate times no problem. They even let me get a new number in a different State. They charged me nothing. I did pay for my service for the entire year. So I don’t know. Mint Mobile has been great for me and I’m going on 2 years.

I signed up, doesn't work no matter what I have tried and Mint support has auto-hung up on me 9 times now.....10th time 65 minutes waiting ...and live agent promised agent and sent me back to silly virtual bot. Will Mint chat hang up on me a 10th time today? Give it a few minutes. So far no cell service and no support service.

That’s weird, I’ve had the complete opposite experience. Had a problem because the actual phone itself was locked. Probably talk to customer service five times, never waited more than two minutes to talk to someone, they knew exactly what they were talking about, and fix the issue by talking me through it. Hooked up a second line just today and ported my existing phone number over to mint mobile whole process was maybe 10 minutes no issues. Mint mobile uses T-Mobile cell towers. So if you have none in your area you’re going to have a issue.

I absolutely love Tello. Not only are prices comparable to Mint you have complete flexibility. You can change up minutes and data from $5-25 anytime. I just love I can upgrade or downgrade literally any time I want. And btw kids, you're paying $14 a month for 5GB of data every month, a dollar less than Mint's introductory price. And none of the new customer BS or bulk prices. That's the basic price every month, period.. You don't have to pay a year in advance to keep it. And the service also runs on T mobile so coverage is literally the same.
@Maynardd10 ай бұрын
Just signed up for mint mobile today. Black Friday deal! Pay three months for any package and get the next three months free. Did the 15 GB for $20 a month, that amounts to only $10 a month for six months!!! I see people in here complaining about the pre-pay, what’s the difference? So I’ll pay $240, six months from now for an entire year. Doesn’t get any better than that!

The only issue I have with Mint is I don't know whether they've got security precautions to prevent "SIM fraud" where someone tries to port your number to their phone without your consent. does that happen often?

I've been debating the switch. My biggest concern, which I can't seem to find an answer to, is if I do switch but keep my number, if it would uninstall all my apps. I'm really not tech smart and don't fully understand.
@evertonsway9 ай бұрын
Hey, that’s a question I get a lot. If you switch carriers-your apps stay in tact. The only exception is if you were to switch and get a new phone #. If some apps require your current number to log in you may want to set a secondary login method
@pdxyyz432710 ай бұрын
No issues with the service in the US. The big problem is roaming international. Every time I go to Canada I try to use the roaming, but it never works. Contact their support and they will spend a ton of time getting nothing done and then giving you a ticket number for 2nd level support. And then you never hear from them again, and certainly not before you return to the US. I have a dual sim phone so I'll be using second SIM from traveling.

Only thing I don't like is that its not one month at a time plan. 180 at ONE time? What if ppl live pay check to pay check? 360 at ONE time? why can't they do it where we can pay in increments as well? I did the intro for 45 for 3 months, I like it so far. I mainly use data at work and out and about in my area. the next upgrade was to 120 and that confused me. 120 for another 3 months or 6 months? Im guessing thats what they MINT lol .. at least I hope cause 120 for 3 months?! im horrible at math .. so .. but yeah it didn't have 3 months in parentheses or 6 months so im confused on why it said renewal 120. anyway im doing the 180 for the year .. I like the set up, how easy it was and all that .. again 180 at one time? sheeesh . I just wish they allowed the increments as well lol .. 15 -16 a month for a year .. which I think is more if it wasn't with mint.
@gamesgeargadgets Жыл бұрын
in order to get the best price, you need to pay 12 months at a time. Forcing people to pay upfront allows them to create a stickier product, whereby they have your business for longer. These carriers are way cheaper than the traditional ones, and these prepaid subscriptions help to stabilize revenue, and allow they to get cash upfront and invest it into the business before even rendering services.
@JanelleReneeWells11 ай бұрын
Also it saves $ too because then they don't have to charge a monthly payment "processing fee" & can only charge one processing fee each year. :) If I were to be living paycheck to paycheck though, what I would do is just wait until like my income tax refund check time to pay a year upfront then, OR even whenever we get an extra paycheck during a month twice per year. Just an idea to the original commenter. :) & then going forward what you do is just set aside the small cheap monthly payment amount until the next yearly payment is due. :)
@omens340311 ай бұрын
@@JanelleReneeWellsthat’s super smart actually, but i wish mint would still let you pay monthly though, that’s the only thing stopping me from trying them out soon

So pay 3 months at a time, and get into the position where you can pay 6 or 12 the next time. Or get referrals. Mint lets you "work" for your service by racking up referrals.
