Chucky's line about Nic Cage and Ash could also be a homage to a scene in Seed of Chucky. In it, after Tiffany and Chucky killed a policeman by having a dozen nails impaled into the man's face, Chucky looks at the body and says something like "Why does that seem so familiar". Obviously, Chucky's giving reference to Pinhead.

Remember your bias, this game isn't shocking anymore, but a normal person would be wondering why we're laughing. I remember when I first saw the Chucky comic, it wasn't funny that a doll was killing people: it gave me nightmares. As an adult with full context and after watching other horror movies it's funny, but it definitely wouldn't be to a lot of people I know

By the way the last scene of Mori is also a reference but to the series. In season 1 episode 2, he killed his uncle's housekeeper by pushing her when she tried to clean out the dishwasher. She landed with her neck on several sharp knives, killing her. It's not the same but very similar and I can't think of any other murder that could be a reference.

I really hope they can add Gothic Pale-Skinned Chucky from Curse Of Chucky (2013) as a cosmetic for him once he releases! Curse is my favorite incarnation of Chucky due how the film takes place in a Gothic horror tone and how they bought back the horror and dark tone of the films after the controversy of seed of chucky. The dark reddish hair and pale-like skin he had along with the stitches and looks more spooky is badass. His curse design is pretty much a better version of his seed design. Hope this happens! Gothic Chucky is a badass spook.

another fun fact dbd players need to know: the dark "spirit" is portrayed by brad dourif, the voice actor of chucky. in other words, the voice actor of chucky is the actor who played the human form of charles lee ray in the movie. and his real life daughter, fiona dourif, played nica, one of the main roles in curse of chucky. in case anyone doesnt know either, the 2019 remake of childs play has no ties whatsoever to the original childs play series. it was a battle of rights holders and the original creator and director of chucky, don mancini, went into a full dispute with the studio. so in that remake version, chucky was voiced by mark hamlll and they had to change the entire lore so they dont infringe rights. thats what inspired don mancini to create the tv series to establish his version of the story, by working with another company. in dead by daylight, it seems like they are omitting any references to voodoo or damballa, the god that grants chucky his powers. this is probably due to behavior not wanting to associate real life religion in their game.
