Produced by Boeing, this Cold War promotional film showcases the Minuteman ICBM missile as it was deployed in the Western United States. The LGM-30 Minuteman is still in service today as an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM). As of 2010, the version LGM-30G Minuteman III is the only land-based ICBM in service in the United States. It is one component of a nuclear triad, which is complemented by the Trident submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) and by nuclear weapons carried by long-range strategic bombers. The letter "L" in "LGM" indicates that the missile is silo-launched; the "G" indicates that it is designed to attack ground targets; the "M" indicates that it is a guided missile. The name "Minuteman" comes from the Revolutionary War's Minutemen. It also refers to its quick reaction time; the missile can be launched in about 1 minute. The Air Force plans to keep the missile in service until at least 2030. The current US force consists of 450 Minuteman-III missiles in missile silos around F.E. Warren AFB, Wyoming; Malmstrom AFB, Montana; and Minot AFB, North Dakota.

This was as much psychological warfare as it was a video concerning solid rocket fueled ICBM's. The Russians must have been scared shit-less after watching the rodeo footage. These crazy bastards might actually ride a damn ICBM all the way to Moscow!

The time codes in the middle of the video is just plain annoying and not necessary.

Here's the issue: Tens of thousands of films like this one were destroyed and many others are at risk. Our company preserves these precious bits of history one film at a time. How do we afford to do that? By selling them as stock footage to documentary filmmakers and broadcasters. If we did not have a counter, we could not afford to post films like this on online, and no films would be preserved. It's that simple. So we ask you to bear with the watermark and timecodes. So, in the past we tried many different systems including placing our timer at the bottom corner of our videos. What happened? Unscrupulous KZbin users downloaded our vids, blew them up so the timer was not visible, and re-posted them as their own content. We had to use content control to have the videos removed and shut down these channels. It's hard enough work preserving these films and posting them, without having to deal with these kind of issues.

What? Was i suppose to pretend i don't notice the gender of their animating lifeforces? My bad. But as a non-she entity, i don't have any ability of pretending whatsoever.

Slaughtering each other for whatever reason is cannibalism. Using each other as prey is the very definition of cannibalism. Cannibalism is absolutely forbidden. It is an abomination.

Just in case anyone didn't get the memo about that. Cannibalism... a total no-no.

It doesn't matter what side you think you're on if the bombs fall. We'd all have to suffer. Someday, I would love to live in a world without nuclear weapons. Under the current geopolitical circumstances, eliminating nuclear weapons is more dangerous than their existence.

Ivan did not like the Pershing 2, MX Peace Keeper or the nuclear tipped GLCM's based in the UK. But have no fear Ivan, the US destroyed there entire stockpile of these superb defensive systems. So go ahead and keep on breaking the arm's control treaties like the INF, you have little to fear.

+Pershing Rocketman Deterring the Russians and Red Chinese is more than accomplished with our Minuteman III and Ohio Class subs. Even if the Russkies want to "cheat" a bit they would never attain a First Strike ability without our knowing about it. China and Russia also have NO reason to even contemplate an all-out War with the USA. There would be nothing to gain by any of the super powers fighting any type of war. My fear is that the Pakistani's or North Koreans would sell a couple of Nukes to Terrorist groups. MAD doesn't work with Terrorist groups because who would we launch our Minutemen Missiles at if the Terrorists blew up LA or Atlanta? Maniacs with a dozen weapons are more dangerous than the Russians with 8,500 warheads because the Maniac may use the Nuke with no fear about repercussions if they are suicidal to begin with. It's like if your neighbor is an old NRA member with a dozen rifles, pistols and shotguns, and a thousand rounds of assorted ammo. He still poses no threat to you. But what about the "tweeker" with just one little .38 revolver? That tweeker is quite dangerous even if he just has his old .38 with a handful of rounds because HE might use it without a care. Let's knock off the paranoia about the Russians and Red Chinese and worry a bit more about the Rogue with a couple of low yield Warheads. Crazy beats Strong every time...
