Married over 11 years. I know when it comes to these bands it's like the biggest tease, but you learn to appreciate the time and skill that went into what they play and their appearance. I love it when a Visual Kei or Oshare band pulls off a good mindfuck! Better than listening and watching a band you don't like bore you to death.

When judging a band which falls under Visual Kei, you have to acknowledge that there are sub-genres of VK. In my opinion, Megaromania is a mix of Kote, Angura, Lolita based Visual, and a hint of Ero. If you simply don't like the music this band puts out- or their image, try a harder band. Maybe Matenrou Opera? Or a whole different sub-genre in general. Opinions are opinions though, and you are entitled to your own.

I agree. And also being married over 11 years I would like to say that some of these Visual Kei and Oshare bands have quite beautifully dressed members. I would rather have them look stunning than bland and/or grotesque. I am one of those that have nothing to prove or hide when it comes to these bands. I am secure in my own masculinity.

Miyavi has his blues guitar, Versailles has their meticulously elegant production and composition, the vast majority of Under Code bands just have a bunch of generic "this is a visual band" musical and aesthetic signifiers mashed up in slightly different quantities, and shat out in a disorganized mess.

I haven't say I would do better (and that's not my job) , I say I dislike this song and I gave my reasons. People may not agree, I accept 'cause everybody has their reasons. But for ME, this song is not good enough so that I would say it's a song I appreciate. ^^ I think it's really not a crime to say why we disliked something without trolling... ;)

What 'both genres'? Visual kei isn't really a genre in the musical sense - you can do pure symphonic power metal, like Versailles, and still be visual kei if you look a certain way. At least that's how I always interpreted it. D and Miyavi are both visual kei, and they don't sound remotely similar. If you prefer Megaromania's style, that's fine. We can agree to disagree on that. I was just pointing out that other bands do make visual kei music with a power metal touch.

Can't help, my very first deception from this band. I really disliked this song, and the PV too (so am the first who put the dislike button, but not for trolling, plz don't forget it). Not the Megaromania I can appreciate, it seemed to be something based on fanservice, and I can't support a band like this doing something done by other many bands before =/

OK so I'll just get downvoted out of existence, but I'm gonna take the unpopular side on this one too. Am I the only person who thinks Under Code is wrecking visual kei? Every band Kisaki produces looks exactly the same, and while they all fall in slightly different places in the J-rock Venn diagram of power metal/nu-metal/pop-punk, they all have the same combination of shitty fast drums, shitty guitar riffs, shitty ballads and shitty screamo numbers, minus any original characteristics.
