As others have said, Dizzy was the main shot, Mir and some others just got grazed with those "I work harder" lines from Jamar, so I can see why Mir didnt go heavy into Jamar. Also if you didnt know the Kez reference is a whole bar in of itself because of what Kez has been putting out on twitter

same, though I feel like I lean toward shwab. Not cause I don't think that competition isn't a good thing, more so that I think its getting over blown and that just focusing on your music and honing craft needs to be the main goal

@@corvistein9016 nah the competition is a big part of rapping. Those takes really make a lot of nerd core seem not seem like rappers making songs with anime topics but just nerds rlly intruding into a genre. Battle rap is literally one of the greatest parts of rap and essentially the creator of punchlines.

No other response is gonna hit as hard as Dizzy’s because Jamar personally went after Dizzy and it’s kinda the biggest part. The first half of Jamar’s track was basically just saying, in general, that his grind is the best, he works harder and has more features than other artists, and seemingly at random chose other artists to name drop like Ty (lol), Mari, Mir. And then the second half was directed entirely at Dizzy. So of course everyone else’s response is gonna be kinda light, because they don’t even really have to respond in the first place lol. He didn’t even really say anything that bad or beefy against them, he made random unfounded claims about work ethic.

I agree Dizzys was harder, but I feel like his has to the hardest because there was whole part dedicated top him alone, whereas Mir and the others were all kind of pushed together saying they don't work hard and don't deserve what they have. So in that this response seems good enough because his work ethic was questioned and that irritated him because no one likes having that question. And the work ethic was the main focus of this, so to me it feels like it did it's objective

For someone complaining about fictional characters, you're trying to create fictional beef. The only thing Jamar said about Mir is that Mir doesn't work as hard as him, which is not only probably false but shouldn't even count as a slap. Also, why are you complaining that people that like to rap on a certain theme only want to rap about that theme? You jealous that you have no theme yourself? I enjoyed your reactions for the most part, but get a fucking hold of yourself man, not everyone likes what you like, accept it and move on.

@@MasterBlade111 Yeah, I agree. As much as I respect Scru's take on hip-hop, I sometimes find myself disagreeing with his takes when it comes to nerd-core stuff. This is a different crowd, with a different scene. I'm fine with diss records etc, but I'm really not looking forward to seeing a lot of shallow bickering back and forth for the purpose of chasing views. Personally, I'd rather not see that bleed over as much, though I suspect it's inevitable.

I think the important thing to remember. Is this isn't nerdcore. None of the rap battle beef happening is nerdcore. This is hiphop. It makes sense the Scru likes this because he has always been open about being more of a hiphop fan than caring about the anime part of it. But this doesn't even count as nerdcore. Just because a nerdcore artist does it doesn't make it not just hiphop in this case. Which is fine they can obviously do whatever they want. But the "My tier list is changing" seems a little bit... I don't know he always talks about how you have to respect the hip hop culture when you make music like this but nerd core isn't a part of the hip hop culture, it isnt a stepping stone to get into the more mainstream hip hop. It always seems like scru sees this as like a starting point for people who "I swear people who aren't into anime would get into this, This guy is about to level up" Or whatever is him going "You are almost fully into hip hop now" And he alongwith at least one of the tracks in response to this said "You don't like the music you just like the anime why can't my non anime tracks get the same sort of views" And its like Because NERDCORE FANS AREN'T HIPHOP FANS. IF YOU WANNA DO HIPHOP DO THAT AND CULTIVATE THAT FAN BASE THEY AREN'T INTERCHANGABLE. And then that super annoying thing where they are like "What is it you like the anime or the music i don't think you're into the music" And it just feels like me saying oh my favorite color is green. and people getting mad cause "ALRIGHT BUT LIKE WHICH ARE YOU HERE FOR THE BLUE OR THE YELLOW" and its like fucking neither. Its where the two meet that the thing I'm interested in comes together and is created. I would like to say I actually am into hip hop, and anime and nerdcore but I feel about each of them differently. I like Scru's reactions but his particular viewpoint on how nerdcore should be has always seemed a little close minded. Like he doesn't see it as a thing worthy of respect on equal footing with what other people likes he see's it as the kitty pool for actual hip hop, and once people get good enough they can start doing hip hop. But I like it better than hip hop. I think going from nerd core to straight hip hop is a downgrade. I'm not saying everyone should feel that way but as an artist you can't make one thing that people like and then try to abandon it and expect people to follow without question. Like if you were a movie director and you made scifi movies but all of a sudden you wanted to make a fantasy movie. Sure there is overlap some people like both but some people only like one or the other and the people who you had enjoying your scifi stuff won't follow to your fantasy stuff just because you are the one who made it. Jamar isn't "The realest" Jamar is a high C or low B tier nerdcore artist who did a hip hop track to get the people who aren't really into nerdcore but more see it as the baby pool for hip hop to go "Oh this guy's cool" So he can try and become more popular than much more talented artists. But because he made a hip hop track Scru is going "Oh he evolved from nerd core into actual hip hop!" which of course in his mind is always the goal. I would like to say two other things. First I apologize for the incredibly long ranty comment I just had a lot of build up watching these reactions where i'm vibing and enjoying it and then he turns and disrespects something I also really enjoy and I just can't get on with his opinion on it at all, And I would like to point out I really like Scru, I find both his reactions entertaining and I like some of his music, a few tracks of which are on my playlist. Just because I GREATLY DISAGREE WITH HIS MINDSET GOING INTO THIS CULTURE (Because nerdcore is a culture COMPLETELY separate from hip hop culture) doesn't mean i'm not a fan of the man anymore. I feel the need to specify this only because any critical comment of a content creator is often seen as I"M NOT A FAN ANYMORE. which isn't true i just disgree with his mindset on this.

I really don’t get why you have so much trouble separating the concept of “fictional rap.” The reason they rap about fictional franchises is because they’re NOT that guy. They enjoy rap and wanted to do it but didn’t want to rap about themselves all the time. Their inspiration comes from these series. They’re not conventional rappers.
