She is wounded, man. She doesn’t open up at all. She’s looking over her shoulder throughout. She still can’t speak about her traumatic ordeal without ptsd. Gina is struggling. He REALLY stole her ability to connect. When she talks about roller skating, she’s a young girl again- another trauma sign. She needs an opportunity to be free and childlike. That would be more healing than surrounding her with missing and exploited children. Id lose all trust in people doing that job.

Ehh they all had it bad, having your rapists child that you love & have to look at the rest of your life is like a punishment and a gift and being beaten all the time is awful too. Michelle was so tiny, Gina had it horrible too being a child and seems stuck there a bit. When you look at Michelle you can see her trauma before even speaking to her. Amanda covers her trauma well and that's because of forced maturity. Gina safe spot is probably being her 14 yr old self and goes there when she feels anxious.

Great to see Gina smile. What she went through in incomprehensible. The fact that Gina, Amanda, and Michelle are recovering in their own ways is encouraging. That monster took away 10 years of their lives. It's no wonder they are scarred in one way or another. We just hope they can somehow continue to get better from such a horrific ordeal and live a good life going forward. Let's keep supporting them and loving them - that's all we can do.

Gina was practically beaming when she was talking about roller skating!! Her eyes lit up!! I don’t really think she’s ready to be helping victims of abuse! I think she needs to do fun things like skating and maybe other sports to take her mind away from her past trauma!! Just do normal, fun things all young people or teens enjoy !! She really needs that because her some of her teen years were stolen from her!! MAYBE years down the road she might be able to help traumatized people, but she’s still trying to heel her own trauma!!!

When Gina first went missing, her mother said “She’s 14 but has the social skills and mindset of a small kid”. It’s not just “shy”, she’s pretty much mentally handicapped. Especially since 9 years of her young life was held in captivity with no education or anything, it hasn’t been fixed.

I see some people saying , she still looks like a 14 years old. I suffered from social phobia when I was 17 years old and just lived in my bedroom,I would not go out ,I didn't made friends, boyfriends ,I didn't get a job and thing like this. It lasted some years . So after,I started felling better and Decided to live what I didn't live . And it was very difficult for me, I couldn't find jobs because I was to shy , I tried to do a lot to many things and I had a lot of difficult. Today I'm 27 years and I still feel like I am 17 years old . I'm very immature for my age. One part of me wants to be a very mature 27 years old woman, but another part wants to live the life doing everything that I didn't . It is hard. I don't want to compare my life with the trauma of gina, but is just a example how being isolated can damage your life.

The questions these reporters ask. my God lady! Really?? Do you reflect on your time in the house? Who would even ask her that question?? You can see in her before pic on the missing poster, her eyes had a spark, her happiness was all over her face. Now, her eyes are so different, she is changed forever by that horrible nightmare, her spark is gone. She is very brave to give these interviews because you just know these reporters will ask the dumbest questions most of us would not dare ask. Focus on her future, her family, ask good feeling questions, don't even go there with the kidnapping questions, those awful memories will never go away for them, why bring it up. let the counselors deal with it with her, not some reporter . @@BriaBarrows I would think they would have to be in therapy for quite awhile, this type of trauma keeps you mentally stuck at whatever age you were when it happened and it also reshapes your brain. YOu can tell her by her eyes, there is no more spark Her picture on her missing poster, totally different looking type of girl, happy, full of life. Now..no more spark, detached, he really stole so much from them, I can't even begin to imagine what they went through. it would take years and years for me to be able to trust again, if ever.

Seems like she doesn't get out much. She seems a little regressed in this interview compared to other interviews that took place years ago. I think it has affected her the most. She does NOT want to talk about what took place in the house at all. She truly doesn't believe that she is safe anymore. I think she still feels like she's 14 years old, and doesn't want to think this all happened. But it did 🥺 I hope she keeps good people around her, and reaches out to Michelle. After what they went through its a shame they don't talk.

Gina really has come out of her shell since her interviews a few years ago. She needed a little push at the beginning of this interview, but once the news reporter made Gina feel comfortable, Gina opened up and provided more detailed personable responses. Great interview.

Gina is such a inspiration!!! And extremely loved by so many especially in the area she is from! Her family is wonderful! Gina we need your strength again for these car jackers!!! So many children have been victimized by shooting some unlucky and have been murdered by these car jackers ! Sadly your old home now houses a family who allows thier child /children to hide out car jackers they are the family members of a group !lilsam thinks it's cute to hollar free his brother who is in jail now for a list of robbery car jacking and shootings! I know you don't live there anymore but was hoping you could speak and help people understand how dangerous these car jackers are! You where lucky some have not been! Gosh your growing into a young woman !!but we will always see you as the kind little girl who walked the younger ones to rite shop because they where afraid of the dog on the corner!
