This is why you should never quit on a play. It would have been easy for Trinity to just kind of give up at the end figuring it's hopeless anyway. They might have felt that way, but they kept trying. When you keep trying, you just never know. You might get lucky. But you won't get lucky if you give up.

I played for Trinity University in 1983 and 1984. We played Millsaps every year, but we sucked back then. We certainly didn't have radio/tv coverage. That's the most amazing play I've ever seen.

This last play definitely turned into touch rugby and a rugby attack requires a rugby defense. ie one long line that drifts left or right and leaves no gaps. As long as that ball was kept alive Trinity were always gonna score. I think the Millsaps kick off team would've halted it. But who knew that you would have to play your kick off team in the last 2 seconds. Brilliant to see... and a winner. Thanks for posting it.
