Many years ago I had the extraordinary pleasure of seeing the Lipizzaners perform at the Spanish Riding School. It was a profound and emotional experience. before I saw this film. No words can describe my delight. Years later I found this film and learnt this story of how they were saved during WW II. I am so glad to have found it again on KZbin. Thank you to whomever downloaded it.

Such a Great movie! I'm sure it was based off true facts . Disney in the past, made so many great movies to never be made like them ever again.

This is not the greatest movie ever made; but, as a 13 year old girl, I was crazy about horses. My younger sister was even more obsessed with them. Then in 1964, the Spanish Riding School went on tour & were to perform at the old Boston Gardens. My parents who were very cautious about their finances actually splurged & bought tickets & drove the 90+ miles so we could see the Lipizzaner stallions perform. Yes, we were seated "in the rafters" but we couldn't have cared less. It had to have been a great sacrifice for our parents to have done this for us because Dad didn't make all that much money. I am grateful to my folks for giving us such a wonderful treat.

Respectfully disagree on how great this movie is; if you are a history buff and/or have a great affection for the performance of the Lipizzaner stallions, you'll be beyond thrilled with this movie. Disney outdid themselves.

I have a great love of Walt Disney and horses, I love the movie and so pleased we helped out with saving this breed. I owned the movie at one point and use to watch it often...the hurricane messed that up...but I watched it once again. I was proud to be an American citizen...Dumpy Trumpy has kind of ruined that as well.

You should respect this move, at the least. Patton was murdered shortly after this because he was telling the truth. He said we fought the wrong enemy.

Second time watching this magnificent film! I saw the Lippazanners perform at a Kansas arena in 2005 for my birthday. They are breathtaking and exquisite. Been to Austria and appreciate the finery and caring of the peoples. 💜

On mooving to italy my proud husband took me to see these beautiful horses in slovinia watching this movie i too am overawed by the story and even prouder to have seen their decendents thankyou whoever downloaded it i was thoroughly entertained with its beauty

Enjoyed this film when it first came out . Lipizaners are a wonder to see in real life. A few years ago after the film came out there was a traveling group that put a show on in Fresno and we went to see it. While the troop may not have been from the riding school the horses were Lipizaners.have never been sold outright. Sometimes are given as a gift. Can't remember his first name but his last nae was Aguilar.Being considered a great horseman he was gifted with one.
