J.P. Is my favorite speaker. Love his stories on Miracles, as well as consciousness. I have also been healed miraculously by a prayer. What is interesting about this prayer is that I didn't know it occurred. My Dads Sunday school was praying while I was in the hospital awaiting surgery to remove an appendix which was about to bust. They had scanned me, and showed me the infection in the scan. The hospital woke me up every 2 hours to take blood, and each time I awoke in the same condition. Then, 2 hours before surgery, I awoke completely fine. I told the doctor that something had changed, and that all the pain was gone. I was baffled, but I wouldn't under go surgery until I could get checked again. He scanned me, and the infection that showed up some 10 hours earlier was completely gone. Zero indication of infection. The Doctor was baffled, and so was I until my Dad came in and told me that within that window of time that I was asleep, his Sunday School was praying for me.

Great show. I would agree with Josh. It may not be necessary to get evidence but I truly believe that it's best to do so. If we have it available to us, why wouldn't we?

I've always been open to miracles, especially because of the power of Jesus Christ. All that's in the Bible. From my first reading, I automatically believed, once I came to the conclusion that all things are truly possible with Christ, and faith.

You don't need medical records if you know the person that is healed, and know the witnesses are faithful, etc. But if you don't know them, then yes, Medical documentation can be a powerful witness.

I have to admit, I've had a couple of things going on over the last few years...... but a really unusual thing was once when I came home after visiting a Christian friend about a year and a half ago, I got to my front door and felt the most unusual feeling....... It was like the Lord was right there. Now, I know he's everywhere, but this was different....... It was a warm feeling and like the air around me was pushing up against me? It 's a bit hard to explain but it was a comfortable experience and not something I've had ever before, it was a reassuring and I said in my head "you're right here aren't you?" and I kind of wonder what would have happened if I said it out loud....... Sometimes on the rare occasion, you can have a euphoric experience when you're really happy for whatever reason but this was not that....... it lasted about 30 seconds and I can only say it was something I can't explain....... I just want to make the point that the positive part of it makes me sure that it wasn't just a "stand up too quickly" or "dizzy spell" kind of thing. I just got out my car, and walked to the front door like I've done countless times before.

I have wondered why there is NOT ONE VIDEO recording of a person being healed from something VISIBLY in real time - Down Syndrome, Burn Victim, Amputee, Deformed body, etc, etc. I am NOT talking about shoulder pain healings or leg lengthening routines.
@gastonjaureguix2 жыл бұрын
If i told you one, would you believe Jesus is alive and healing people today? There is, look for Delia Knox she could walk after 22 years and in front of the cameras they prayed for her, abd then she could walk, look for all the videos and interviews, so you get all the data, and then make your case
@accabb24872 жыл бұрын
I have never seen anyone set up cameras before praying for someone. The focus is on healing the person of their suffering rather than satisfying skepticism. This kind of Video evidence doesn't amount to anything these days anyway, what matters is trust.

Google Pastor Duane Miller. “When illness robbed Pastor Duane Miller of his voice - seemingly forever - he spent years struggling with the loss. In fact, he nearly lost his faith over it. But then, while delivering a sermon on healing, God restored the pastor’s lost voice. Nearly 200 people witnessed the miracle. But an audio recording captured the divine healing as well, so you can hear it for yourself!”

Overly skeptical to do the research and get the medical records? No, that's just simple research. You know this is important. Don't pretend this this not important to the conversation J.P.

Well then you must be familiar with Craig Keener and have seen all the evidence necessary to believe in miracles.

@capturehishonor9292 Жыл бұрын
I have seen God do many such miracles and I am not a minister or a special giving kind of person. God wants to work biblical class miracles in His children's lives just because He is a loving God.

Lol! About 14 years ago I was out with my daughter, (then quite young,) when my phone died and I had an important call to make. "I'm going to have to find a phone box," I said and my daughter piped up, "what's a phone box??" Lol. Back then finding an unvandalised one was rare. Now there aren't any at all except a few of the old style red ones that have been kept for tourists or repurposed.

Anybody watching this on 03/03/2030? I'm not, but I just thought I would say hello to the brothers and sisters of the future on the off chance that AC hasn't yet been revealed and the internet rebuilt after the liking and likeness of the Beast. Videos like this one shall not stand at that time - along with anything that would glorify our Lord and Saviour.

This may come across as a puerile question, but is there record of anyone even trying to pray for a missing limb to grow back? Are we simply assuming that such miracles are beyond the boundaries of what is possible or sanctioned by God regarding the physical realm?
@togborne2 жыл бұрын
Answer to your first question: no because they know nothing will happen.
@accabb24872 жыл бұрын
J.P. provides a case of this at 41 minutes. And just before that, he mentions an amputation, that is the immediate remove of a body part. Either the hosts, or guests on this show mentioned praying for an amputee outside. They said they saw the arm begin to grow and got excited and then a security guard interrupted them and it did not continue. There are records of things growing back, but there will not be any records immune from doubt. That is just the way it is with doubt, you can always make a way for it to come in. Two examples come to mind. Miracle of Calanda is one, and the modern case of Bruce Van Natta. Craig Keener will have more though in his book Miracles today, and I'm sure J.P. has some examples in his book.

I myself would verify the medical information J.P. would’ve been so much more smooth to present🙂 the interview with the doctor then becomes part of the evidence train however, short there’s too much unverifiable talking everywhere I go. I want to see the real deal. In fact I would like it for myself now that I’ve been through one cancer operation and I’m living in intense painfor the past week

About 29 minutes in JP states, "In our culture it is said that you are smarter if you doubt things". Hmmmmmm.....I really doubt that. Wow, is that a representative statement of the mindset of our culture. I will point out some clearly demonstrably false & self-contradictory statements to some that tout the banner of rational skeptic that they have made & they cannot or refuse to see the problem & logical incoherence.
@markmcflounder152 жыл бұрын
Later on in the podcast....I love Dr. Shermer. He's very charismatic & humorous but, man, is he intellectually painful to listen to. He certainly embodies skeptics. "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence". It sounds like true elegant simplicity. It is, also, a claim that skeptics never seem to apply to their own belief. What kind of extraordinary evidence is there for shark victims, lightning strike victims & lottery winners? And, then there's the Multiverse & universes bursting into existence from nothing & what about naturalistic origin of life.....not can one not provide extraordinary evidence there's NO evidence for them. Moreover, the claim involves subjective belief. I find the claim itself extraordinary give me extraordinary evidence to support it. Dr. Shermer believes a whole slew of things that are intellectually & academically bereft. He is a skeptic that has a fluorescent open sign on but the front doors locked & barred shut.

Question people say they have been healed through God but they were in hospital after emergency operation and medication how can they say this was God as my understanding is God heals by his own hands how can they say its God when it was through surgeons drs and nurses they survived this confuses me as when jesus healed years ago they had no medical help it was his miraculous touch that cured them.
@togborne2 жыл бұрын
Hyper-skepticism? No, it’s called having high standards. And it’s right to have high standards when it comes to stuff like this. The problem with most of these miracle claims is that we have natural explanations for them. E.g we know cancer goes into remission, we know doctors misdiagnose and get stuff wrong all the time. We know that during a large gathering, a shot of adrenaline acts as a painkiller.
@todaymedia73392 жыл бұрын
