8:24 It always bothers me that the show uses Chat Blanc as the reasoning as to why they cannot figure out their identities and be together. The only problem with that timeline (other than Gabriel breaking them up but that didn't cause Chat Blanc, just some civilian issues that could be solved) is that Adrien transforms outside his house, which just so happens to be in front of Nathalie, who just so happens to work for Hawk Moth. Their relationship, or each other knowing, is never the problem, only Hawk Moth knowing is a problem, which is never a sure consequence of them being together and knowing each other's identities. Aka, please please please let them know and be together by the end of season 5, I can't take much more of the love square 😭

I think there's a bit more to it. After all, Master Fu told them not to reveal their identities. I believe that what Master Fu said about doing a reveal and the trauma caused by Chat Blanc quickly convinced her to not do any sort of reveal between the two of them. She didn't have the whole story as well, pretty much all she got was: "Our love did this to the world..." & "Marinette..." (meaning for her that he somehow knew her identity)

You are right, but reminder that there are important reasons on why they can't reveal their identities. Anything can happen in the future. So yes, this happened, but it could happen again, even far worse. Something could always go wrong and because they know who they are, it can always come back to bite them in the back. Spoilers vvvvv Luckily Adrienette is now canon and official by season 5 episodes, but that also comes to the cause of ladynoir not being canon anymore because of their identities being a secret, meaning no more love square for a while.

@@kasenjia Yeah I get it, it just bothers me that the show and the fandom often take Chat Blanc as like, the definitive answer to what will happen if they reveal identities, when really it's nothing to do with that, the issue actually lies mainly with Adrienette happening, at least in Chat Blanc. Obviously things can go wrong, but it seems like Marinette thinks that if they reveal identities, Chat Blanc or something similar is the inevitable outcome. Also yes! Adrienette is finally canon, though I'm sad we haven't got a reveal yet, and also that we'll never get the full love square realisation in one go, since they're already dating. But they are honestly adorable, so it's worth it.

@@izzysmith105I think it sorta makes sense as when they reveal, because they know each other personally, when 1 gets akumatized, it’s all gone. Chat Blanc was an example for that. It’s prob cause master fu knew they knew each their in their personal lives. If the reveal happens, they’ll get closer, start dating like they did, making strong feelings etc. but as soon as those feeling get twisted even a bit….everything goes down.

The reasoning behind Chat Blanc and Ephemeral it's always so dumb to me. Like, even in the current timeline Adrien developed feelings for marinette, so they breaking up would have happened either way bc of Gabriel, and the "said her name in his sleep" could happen everyday too. Frankly, the only reason Chat got akumatized twice was the revelation of his mother and father, not his love with Marinette.
