Mirage Hotel and Casino 1989 - 2024. Goodbye to a Vegas Icon

Always sad to see a casino close down but always happy to see a new one 🤩 We were there on the last week before it closed down and was able to get a couple of poker chips for souvenir. We hardly visited Mirage, the recent visit was the Shin Lim show we watched was pretty good. Good bye Mirage, Hello Hard Rock🎸🎸

I agree. Other than the volcano and hotel tower, very little remained of the original Mirage. We had great memories from there including our honeymoon in '93. As always in Vegas, nothing remains the same. Cheers 🍻 and good luck to you guys. 🍀 ☘️ 🍀 ☘️

Another one bites the dust! I have memories of many casinos and hotels long gone. Though I didn't really visit Mirage often, I won't ever forget that volcano up front and how this resorts changed things in Vegas.

@@ShinobiSlots Thanks Shinobi! Yeah, this one hurts a little more as we have some great memories of many visits. We had our honeymoon there in '93 and Siegfried and Roy remains the best show I've ever seen. They also had our favorite pool. By the time it closed there was actually very little of the original version left.

@@LandP-RIPPING No, it was way too crowded for me. Lines for machines and completely full by 11 am, drawing didn't start until 3. 😀

I was disappointed I didn’t get to go, but now I’m thinking probably would not be even able to get a machine anyway that’s what it sounds like the crowds are nuts
