Mirage to Hard Rock Transformation Update 08 09 2024

This is a video of the progress of the Mirage Las Vegas transformation to the Hard Rock Las Vegas. The original Mirage building will not be torn down. It will be remodeled and rebranded as the Hard Rock and a new guitar shaped hotel tower will be built closer to Las Vegas Blvd in the area around the old Mirage Volcano. You can see in the video how they have now drained out all of the water in front of the property. I will try to get out here to do a weekly update on the demolition and transformation of the property. This way we can see the demolition of the Volcano and removal of the landscaping as they prepare the area for the new guitar tower construction. They are not just rebranding the existing building and changing the name. They are replacing the gold glass with blue. The samples are on the parking garage, and have been for months. On your video you see them, briefly as you pan right on Gate 2

I was there right at the official closing, saw the final 2 volcano shows on closing day, was there right to when security kicked us all out of the property

According to the rendering of the guitar, it will come with a second pool. Plus someone said that it would come with a music museum

I couldn't find the video. It was the closing day, he was out in front of the Mirage and someone asked if they're keeping the atrium and he replied " atrium will not be there". I'm positive that I heard that. If I find the video, I'll send you the link if not we have to wait and see.

I saw the same video and you are right, he did say that but I was in that atrium the last week it was open and a Hard Rock executive was standing there telling people in the crowd that "many elements of the atrium will remain". So, we have conflicting info. I'm sure we will see soon enough.

Same with the Tropicana not wasting any time but however I have a feeling though this will probably take at least 3 full years for the entire project to be completed or it could very well be less than that to build the brand new 🎸 hotel plus the transfer to the hard rock hotel n casino
