Still very disappointed with this deal, especially because of the way Arthur has been disrespected. However, Pjanic remains a very good midfielder with more guarantees than Arthur for sure (his physical issues forced us to see Rakitic play...). Even if it's not a good long-term deal, Miralem can be very useful next season, thanks to his experience, his philosophy, his style and especially the over-motivation he seems to have at the idea of playing in the club of his dreams. Welcome Miralem!

Nothing against pjanic but his position as a midfield anchor already has busquets and possibly frenkie there so where is he gonna play? just feels like another griezmann situation, brilliant individual brought in for non sporting reasons especially when he will be fighting 2 other world class players in that position.

That's true. That was also a problem during the current season having three world class deep lying playmakers on the pitch at the same time (Busi, FDJ, Arthur). All three of them always try to get the ball from defenders or goalkeeper and start the build up play. That's what Busi does the best, what Frenkie does in his national team and did in Ajax, what Arthur was doing in Gremio and in Brazil national team. Having all of them at the same time made our midfield unbalanced as we lacked a player between the lines.
