So I search on KZbin the topic “Pointe shoes” quite a bit and always see the same stuff. When I saw this I immediately checked out the video. I love how detailed your review was. I like how you also said that you read about the different models of the shoe.

Sansha FR Duval changed my life, despite the fact that they are prearched. The vamp is medium, I have medium to long toes and Grishko models are too low or too high... what they call medium is too low for me. Vamps are a nightmare 🤣

Thank you for the review! What do you think about the width? Would it be comparable to a noX or a single x in the European balance?
@Kimberlykeepsdancing4 жыл бұрын
I would say the single x is comparable to Bloch single x. I hope that helps!

Hi, I actually ordered these after watching your review. I have Freed classics, Serenade and have Sonatas. I hate the Sonatas as they are weirdly hard to break in. The Freeds are the love of my life. Im sure you can tell, they are pretty much all the same shoe. I thought these might be close to Freed. So as always ,thank you for your advice. Any advice for this Giselle foot dancer would be appreciated. 💕💖💕

I hope they work for you!! I have never danced in these (they were ordered for my daughter) but they do seem like a great box shape and profile. I might be ordering in my size to try them as well!!

I have those square toes. I appreciate my feet. Most pointes for square toes are really not that attractive. I was impressed by how beautiful they are, like the Freeds I have. Of course you want the correct shoe, however if you also have the benefit of a sleek shoe. Well,Yay! I very much luv your channel. All my best to you and yours.

@@dianeharlow1891 definitely! I need a semi tapered (my toes are a bit tapered) but profile is most important for me! Most crowns are far too high. Thank you for watching! I am glad you enjoy my videos ☺️

I also want to add that I did not intend to get into a kerfuffle over pointe shoes! LOL

No worries... neither did I. The Internet is strange and comments and such can be misunderstood or the wrong tone can be perceived etc. I appreciate you watching my videos.

I have only tried Mirella Whisper before 😂

What did you think? I would love to hear how it compares to Bloch models.

@@Kimberlykeepsdancing They are one of the softest pointe shoes I have tried and softer than Bloch balance European. But it lasts surprisingly as same as my Bloch 's. I am wondering what type of material they use which keeps them so supportive while friendly for pointe beginners to work through the shoe without unable to go over the box.

@@rebeccachang457 good to know! How does the box shape and profile compare to the European Balances
@rebeccachang4574 жыл бұрын
@@Kimberlykeepsdancing The Mirella Whisper provides an overall sleek fit compared to Bloch Balance European. The former has a lower crown and a more tapered box, which I like since I have slight tapered toes but they are short. I have few pointe shoes with tapered box and a short vamp (usually they come with long vamp which aren't my shoe). And thanks to the lower crown and more tapered box, I can feel the floor and control my shoe better. Hope my review helps!

Has a lot of unnecessary parts in the shank... Just try a RC-22 or maybe RC-42. You won't have to adjust the shank.

Thanks for watching. I have half shanked my shoes for years. It makes my shoes last twice as long and is commonly done. These were ordered for my daughter. I am simply reviewing them to help others. I didn’t end up trying them for myself because I love my Hannah’s.
@pdpomerantz3 жыл бұрын
@@Kimberlykeepsdancing Half-shanking shoes makes them wear out quicker, and is not necessary at all for a non-professional. There are brands with wide ranges of shanks, including 3/4 shanks, making it largely unnecessary to alter your shoes. Many professionals half or 3/4 shank their shoes because it breaks their shoes in faster for performance and makes their feet look their best on stage. They use them for a few days at most and get a new pair provided by their companies. Otherwise, a student/casual dancer is best off using full-shanked shoes and working their feet. If you want 3/4 or half-shanked shoes that show off your feet better, I would suggest a brand that offers these shanks. They will last longer and be safer than hand-shanked shoes.
@Kimberlykeepsdancing3 жыл бұрын
@@pdpomerantz my coach who danced professionally for many years advised me to try it. It actually takes the pressure off through wings if you cut the shank at the arch. It helps to encourage stretching through instep and breaking in the proper place for those with flexible toes who tend break low. As I mentioned every foot is unique so I am sure this would not be a good idea for everyone but it makes my shoes last much longer. Seeing as a professional dancer who has worked with me for several years advised it, I trusted her advice. She knows my feet, strengths and weaknesses and it was very helpful. It is always best to work in person with an experienced dancer when it comes to pointe shoe advice. Again, I am simply sharing a review here to help others get an idea of the model of this shoe.

Is this comment meant for the Russian pointe video? Isn’t RC Russian class ( also known as Russian pointe?) I will have to search which model is 22 or 42. This video is the review for the mirella which is owned by Bloch. Also, please know I am not trying to be defensive. I had to delete your other comment because I don’t leave things up that are negative and name calling is never necessary. I am always open to constructive criticism and advice but if it begins to feel like it is crossing the line I delete it. I am a firm believer in keeping things positive.

@@Kimberlykeepsdancing I bet you are a very positive person, Dancing Mom. I think I explained before RC is made by Russian Pointe. There are Russian Pointe models that are offered by Russian Class, but Russian Class also has models not available from Russian Pointe. The RC Collection is one of them. Yes, I know your video was about Mirella, owned by Bloch. My point was that the RC Collection has shanks that don't require cutting, so you can have that same "shelf effect" that you get when you cut a full shank, and you will still be pulled up enough where you're not sinking in the shoe and have less pressure from the wings. Does that make sense to you? You of course can delete this, its your channel. Poor choice of words, again. Your videos are boring if the viewer is prevented from offering a constructive opinion.
