TCt83067695 watch the whole interview, Lilly Allen was incredibly rude and her behaviour towards Miriam was embarrassing. I think her ego was bruised when Miriam didn’t know who she was so she just acted like a spoiled 10 year old for the rest of the episode. I liked her music but after seeing her behaviour on this episode I’m not a fan.

As hysterical as these guests are, major props to Graham for being so quick-witted and able to manage the flow of the discussion, while also adding to the overall humor. This show would never be as good if all other factors were the same and Graham were someone else.

Make no mistake, Graham is like a rocket with a warp drive when it comes to quick responses. There's at least 30-40 eposodes where his funny under the breath responses are the funniest thing said, bit itntends to get drowned out by the guests. And he's just large enough to not care. Hes not like all the American ones where they need to be heard and seen as funny.. Theres no talk show host that can beat him or even come near him in that regard..

Judge her on what she says and does and don't give her any leeway because of her age or gender- that would be ageist and sexist. Her most recent high profile statement is that she says she thinks the British PM should be castrated. If a male actor said the equivalent about Jacinda Ardern or Angela Merkel they would never work again. But in our strange woke world Miriam has a free pass. She is really just a very, very unpleasant woman.

That doesn’t make it very appealing. She might get a few laughs, but it still is insulting to people. But it is so British to be rude. I used to think the French were bad but she constantly says things for a laugh that I can tell some of the guests wish she’d just shut up. It is her own damn industry! She should get educated about it, at least. Age is no excuse for ignorance, which she embraces a little too tightly. The last show I saw her on, she said about 5 or 6 comments that were totally unnecessary and all very rude and kind of mean. “I don’t know any of your work, or anything about you.’ The intelligent choice is to just keep one’s mouth closed, but she loves to play off the ‘I’m old and ignorant and too lazy to care about who else will be on a show with me or research them in any way.” I think the stereotype she’s is going for insults the rest of us who are in retirement age who would never brag about ignorance, and insult people. I’d love to see someone give it right back to her and see how she likes it.
@drivethru6155
@drivethru6155 4 жыл бұрын
@@Happybidr Wow you must be boring, insulting something with humorous delivery is good fun in the right environment. Of course not everyone takes it well because some people are incredibly weak and have no idea how to play things off to make it into another comedic bit, but Miriam would love someone to return the banter as long as they are in the same mindset! Graham Norton's show is as much a place to entertain as to sell your film or TV show, so if you can't handle what so many viewers enjoy go back to watching whatever impenetrably dull content you usually partake in.

@@Happybidr It's really not that serious... it's Graham Norton; they know they're going to be poked fun at a bit or made to reveal something embarrassing about themselves, it's just that Miriam's doing it in addition to or instead of the host doing it. Besides, Miriam is rather famous for this sort of thing, and if they're sensitive about these kinds of remarks they probably wouldn't have agreed to be on in the first place.

she's amazing, she was so honest and down to earth and sweet. not everyone, especially at an older age, has to know every movie, song, popstar, movie star ect just cause they're on screen or just because the person is in the same business. she's apparently a person who leads a very everyday life, where her interests are far from the red carpet and she doesn't need to surround herself with parties and celebrities and that's totally ok. nonetheless she has been kind to lily allen and she never said the actor guy (I myself don't know him cause i felt like Mamma Mia would have been a movie I wouldn't have appreciated, not my thing from the trailers, so I haven't watched it), but she never said anything bad about him personally. we're not there to fill their egos.

What a wonderful human being. I’ve met a few eccentric people In my life but she is my favourite. Sometimes people cry witch or curse, I just laugh and say fair enough. Live fast die young, we’re the only ones who ever make a difference don’t you know.

It's cause Miriam is unassuming. She sounds posh and well spoken, so you don't expect it. Her swearing is also calculated for emphasis, she swears deliberately with intention.
