It is allowed po in many cases. for an instance, it is a coping mechanism for people who are nervous in a trial court or if a person has medical condition that requires them to eat during the trial

Is this witness allowed to be eating a snack food while under investigation. It really looks outright impolite and total disrespect to the good Senator. In fact her facial expressions appears to be ridiculing the good Senator!!!
