Hi Miriam 👋. How adorable are all of these figurines 🥰? So stinking cute. I love the cookie decorating. And look at poor grandpa's hand. I feel like he may have started to rock out a bit on that guitar. I know you will fix him up though. Well I definitely think you gave out some great tips about the packaging that I wish I had thought of last year when I started. I was so excited that I didn't think to label or staple the pictures and names of what came out of each package. When it came time to put my village away, I couldn't remember which went where. I ended up breaking a few things and doing repairs. PEOPLE PLEASE LISTEN TO MIRIAM! She knows what she's talking about! 😂 I learned the hard way. You ended up with some beautiful figurines sis. Thanks for sharing with us all. Stay blessed😘👍💕💕

I know, my poor little grandpa. I will hook him up thought. I use gorilla super glue that dries clear. You are so very welcome for the tips, glad to help! 😄. Take care and God bless you.

Oh wow Miriam, I wish I would of known about the packaging idea, I threw most of mine out as I watched someone had them all packed in a container with bubble wrap and I thought that was a good idea but I like your idea more I will definitely be keeping the packaging from now on. Your figurines and table accent pieces are gorgeous, I will have to get me some more for sure lol. Looking forward to your next video. God Bless! Rose from Aussie land 😀🙃

I got an order from Lemax today and immediately thought of you. One of my figurines had LOST his head! I thought of your grandpa whose hand had broken off :) No harm done, the head is reattached. I sent Dave a message just to let him know - and he called me about 30mins later. Talk about great customer service!!! eHobby tools is absolutely the best! Thanks Dave. And thank you, Miriam for introducing a lot of us to his site.

🤣😂🤣 that is hilarious. Our poor little people. At least they are so easy to reattach when it’s a clean break. You are very welcome! 😁 Yes, Dave at ehobbytools is the best. I have been ordering from them for almost 6 years and they have always been consistent with their products and service. They are my kind of company!! 😁.

Great Figurine pieces Miriam, Stapling the info card to the package container or writing the info on the back is very helpful to preserve the figurines during the off season from damage! Great advice on organizing. Many of my figures have been purchased secondhand at estate sales or thrifting, they don't always have their original packaging. I usually pack them with bubble wrap in a hardshell case (12x12 scrapbooking cases work well). Then I can stack the large cases very neatly

You really inspire me Miriam, god bless you, I can’t wait to start, especially with Christmas in July almost here, it’s my favorite besides the real Christmas season!! Thanks for the tip on how you keep your Lemax packaging labeled! I don't have very many Lemax figures...yet...but I know I will in the future. I have found 3 that I've preordered from ehobby tools that will fit perfectly with my coal mine. So knowing how to package them up after Christmas is going to be very helpful. Love you! Shirley

(Faye has a request) Could you do a segment about village supply storage? Is your paint, unused foam, glues, plasters stored separately from your village buildings? Also, how to organize electrical supplies such as heated wired tools, air filters and dryers?
@MiriamsManner2 жыл бұрын
Hello Faye, that is a wonderful topic. I am actually slowly taking down my village and will be showing the process of how I store my items but I can definitely show how I organize everything else as well. I will add this to my list and hopefully get that video out sometime in July.

Hi there , hey great collection , I surpose there fairly cheap looking at your boxs , here in New Zealand they range from , small houses $165.00 to large houses $ 350.00 nz . I think maybe US dollar is about 1/2 ours so they are very expensive here , so It takes a little longer to start getting a village
@MiriamsManner2 жыл бұрын
Oh my goodness Phil, that is extremely expensive. I can buy a house or building from Lemax for 40-50 dollars US. If you want a piece that moves, then those can be from $80-110. Have you been on ehobbytools.com? I'm not sure if they ship to New Zealand but I know they ship internationally. Even if the shipping is higher, it still might be worth paying the extra in shipping since the buildings are a third of the cost.

Hi Miriam. Loved all your figurines. The Cookie Competiton already caught my eye when I did a scroll through E-Hobby's website last week. I've been rethinking my village idea for this year. I'm going to take my original "grand" idea and postpone it for a year. I have to do more planning and with all the other distractions in my life, I feel I'm going to be rushed, and I don't like to be rushed. You do realize that tomorrow, Saturday, is June 25, which is SIX MONTHS until Christmas. 😳😳 So I have a more "intimate" idea in mind. Had I taken your advice, it would be so much easier to search throught my figurines. They are all stored quite nicely but they're all wrapped in tissue paper. I'm going to have to unwrap each one to find the specific ones I'm looking for. Wishing all the best to you and yours.

Isn’t that crazy!!! Christmas is only 6 months away and for us villagers, it’s even sooner. I am feeling the pressure a little myself. There is so much I have to get started for my village and I need to make sure I finish everything by the end of September so I can be fresh and ready for the contest. I can’t wait to see what you come up with this year. God bless and tell mom I said hello.

@@MiriamsManner Getting started? I never quit! My huge mountain is about 4 ft by a little less than 3 ft. It's in 4 parts for storing purposes. I really need to talk to you about this thing. It's really difficult to add moss to cover the seams and still maintain the ability to take it apart later. Any ideas?
@MiriamsManner2 жыл бұрын
Hey Dee, you can stuff the moss in the cracks using toothpicks, that way, nothing is glued down when it’s time to take it apart. You can also glue it though. Whatever falls off when you take it down, you can just add more over that area next year???

Hi Miriam. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas and Christmas Villages, I have found everything so informative and helpful! We are going into our second year with our village and have a few pieces that will need some repairs. I am wondering what is your favourite glue to use for the figures and houses? Thanks again :)
@MiriamsManner2 жыл бұрын
Hello Michelle, thanks so much, I really appreciate that. I use the clear gorilla super glue when I am repairing items. It is super thin so it has a clean adhesion and it dries clear if you get a little on the outside. I personally never use hot glue to make a repair, it’s to thick and makes the repair visible. 😄

How do you make plans if you still haven't got the new pieces that you're getting for this year or that you have ordered them
@MiriamsManner2 жыл бұрын
If you know which pieces you are going to purchase, you can look up the size and dimensions for those pieces to make sure you leave enough room in your layout. Also, you can make cut outs of the shape.

What good ideas you have! I'm saving boxes so I can put them back easily too! I do have a question. Have you ever set up a train? We are going to put one up but I don't know the best way to set it up without it taking up a lot of space.
@MiriamsManner2 жыл бұрын
Hey Rebecca, thanks so much! Yes, I usually do a train every year. Last year was the first year I didn’t do one. I have attached my village from 2020 so you can see how I took advantage of the Spence where the tracks turn. You can also build a simple tunnel over your train to take advantage of vertical space. I also did a video on how to make a really easy train tunnel. Christmas Village Display: Dreamy Falls 2020 kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHyuZnR_i8ueldk
