How about putting a trailer hitch and a bike rack ? I had one on my model S. From ecohitch. It worked great. I also have the Swytch kit on a folding bike. You can even get them for Bromptons. Nice option too

You both are so cute together, she has such an amazing laugh and was so happy after her first ride on her beautiful new folding electric bicycle! I thought that the UK was unhappy with all of the EU's rules and regulations and that after Brexit there would be much less regulation? When do all of those amazing benefits start to kick in? Thank you James for sharing this excellent and fun day

Didn't like that you had to remove your parcel shelf. Did you try laying them flat? Bike looks great, thinking of getting the GB3. Also the 2023 version of the One has a bigger battery.

I can lie one down flat with the parcel shelf, but to put two in I have to remove the shelf unfortunately

@@JamesCookeVlogsgood to know. Thanks for replying. The Miriders look brilliant. Definitely thinking of getting one

My wife and I bought a pair of these 6 months ago and have no regrets. Range is brilliant on the flat and in level 1, on hilly stuff the bikes go great even without any gears, but the range suffers a lot, so plan your route accordingly.

I notice this frame from the bike has numerous companies involved... Latest is Life Force on argos and very site. Would be great to compare especially as life force are 20 inch wheels .. what i currently guess is other specs are lowered to git in the 1300 price like brakes etc.

hope you interviewed Mark, as a Gocycle owner, what did he Think of the MiRider. I think I heard him say he wants one as well but i am not quite sure.

Hi Manny, I love our GoCycles, they are perfect for popping in the back of the Tesla (2 fit in fine) and they are a super solution to transport once we arrive where we are going. Looking at the Mi Rider I think the same. A great solution to pop in the boot and if I didn't already have the GoCycles I'd be quite happy with one. Sure the design isn't as radical as the GoCycle BUT nor is the price. Well made bit of kit the Mi Rider I'd say. Cheers Mark

With apologies, I still haven't quite caught the lady's name. Is it Bee or Vee, or something different? The bikes look very useful. Great fun, too. And I guess that prising Mark away from the bike was a bit of a challenge! Now, how do you fit Jasper's bike into the car, along with them? Is it adjacent to the spare rear seat, perhaps when one of them is folded? Thanks to you all for the video. 🙂👍

If you noticed the control panel assist is set to 1 that is the lowest speed. Is just like cycling. Most people uses number 3 assist .
@JamesCookeVlogs2 жыл бұрын
I have a tendency to keep it in level one and then just use the thumb throttle to boost it to level 5 whenever I feel like I need extra umph

James, were you riding and eating at Rushden Lakes ?, That's my neck of the woods if it was. Can I ask about how your fiancé is coping with the cycle as my wife who is around the same height has joint issues and she is looking at a MiRider. What sort of mileage range is she getting as she may need more electric assistance while riding than you. Cheers

I find the pedals you get with the bike grip not good as my foot slips. What pedals could you recommend 🙂

I changed my pedals to all metal third-party folding pedals, unfortunately I've forgotten the brand, if I work it out I'll let you know

How about the Rawbike U2? It’s a moped/bicycle with several gears. And has an throttle which means almost no pedalling needed (if you don’t want to) 👌🏼 There’s also a bigger Rawbike 4 (and 4x)
@JamesCookeVlogs2 жыл бұрын
Sounds good, but round here (UK/EU) they wouldn't be legal because of the throttle

It’s nice to see a good review. Thankyou. Has your wife tried the Brompton? I’d be interested to know as I’m only 5’1” and have difficulty with seat height and pedalling position.
@JamesCookeVlogs2 жыл бұрын
No my fiancé hasn't managed to try out a brompton. It would be outside our price bracket anyway (especially for an electric one).

12:20 her seat is too low. her leg should be almost straight when the pedal is all the way down.
@MXP90DL2 жыл бұрын
Yes, safer for the legs as well by taking a lot of pressure off the knee area.

I think what you are really looking for is a Brompton and I don't mean an electric one. Legal electric bikes only take you up to 15.5 mph, because of the battery and motor they are ultra heavy as well, causing it to be difficult to carry in shops / up stairs / at your destination. Most people ride much faster than 15.5 mph on a light none electric bike anyway and there is nothing as useable for multi modal and short commutes than a Brompton, full stop ! A Brompton folds much smaller into 3 instead of just in half as well. It can have 6 gears as well. If you must have an electric bike for your wife buy her a mirider and you a Brompton.
@JamesCookeVlogs5 ай бұрын
I've always liked the idea of a brompton, but they're not the cheapest unfortunately

You don't need gears on the Mirider, l've done 500 miles on mine this year and l live in Derbyshire which is all hills.
@viffviffer98047 ай бұрын
It’s kind of a different mindset, the ratio is quite high to start with (hence the boost) and the idea is you just up the assist on steeper hills and lower it on the flat

@momodzkouba35752 жыл бұрын
This is a s**t bike. Very bulky, heavy not practical at all especially if you live in a flat. The battery dies just after 8.6 miles
@JamesCookeVlogs2 жыл бұрын
I got a perfectly healthy 25 miles out of a full battery and I'm sure it would have done at least a few more miles if I'd needed it to. I was putting some effort in though and was travelling as fast as I possibly could. Whilest there are definitely smaller folders out there (and lighter), it is small enough and light enough for my needs.
@simonsaysrewind Жыл бұрын
You must of had faulty one... I got the original mirider from 4 years ago and I got 20 to 25 miles which after couple years drop to 15 and bought new battery and again got back to 25 miles . Also this bike has great frame work. It's not perfect though but its lasted well ... I may upgrade to mirider again if they did 18 or better still 20 inch wheels.
