Mirjana in Medjugorje - proof of authenticity

One of the incredible things that can be seen in any one of Mirjana's apparitions is that her eyes do not react to flashes from cameras even in this video you can see the iris does not react to change from shadow to intense light from the sun. The iris diameter is the same. I do not know anyone that can do that! To me this is proof this is a real apparition.

When I was in Medjugorje, I also cried, but out of love and joy. Just for your curiosity: Garabandal in Spain, Lourdes in France, Assisi in Italy and Medjugorje in Bosnia and Herzegovina, all located almost on the same latitude (43 degrees) north. It is as four pearls are strung on the same thread. Similarly, Fatima in Portugal, Guadalupe in Spain and Akita in Japan, all located almost on identical northern latitude (39.5+ degrees). It is as three pearls are strung on the same thread. All places are blessed with Mary’s apparitions, apart from Assisi which is the birthplace of St Francis.

Our Lady is appearing in unprecedented ways because of almost total loss of belief in God and Jesus. The world has apostasized and the God is sending His Holy Spirit to renew His creation. Our Lady's appearences in Medjugorje and elsewhere are part of God's 'rescue plan'. Medjugorje is a place where people RETURN TO GOD, having lost their faith either partly or totally in our increasingly secular world.

Mother Mary is a mother. She wants all to be happy and healthy but the world it self has its own plans. Mother Mary is real and I believe in her. I have a rosery from these 6 kids made from them in 84 brought back to me from a neighbor who visited these kids. I believe my life is blessed and this rosery is my "luck charm"... best way to put it for those who dont understand

Medjugorje is TRUE! Even if there is no Medjugorje, Fatima, Lourdes or any other apparition place, the Bible shows us the true God, the Holy Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Ghost), and the most Blessed Mother of Jesus, Mary. Yes, on the original video from which this is taken, the tears on the statue are clearer. I remeber being surprised to see no reference to this on the Medjugorje web sites. The apparition is that of the 2nd January, 2005.

Well, that is an interesting piece of information. If what you say is true, the light must have been quite powerful and the principle remains! Regarding the August 2 apparition, yes I hope to post a video of that this week. It actually illustrates the insensitivity of Mirjana to the sun even more than this video! But it also captures the response of the crowd to the "miracle of the sun" which occured during it.

The tears on the statue are certainly not to be ignored, but the point of the video is to illustrate Mirjana's lack of reaction to the sun when the shadow slides away from her eye. If we are going to be talking about evidence, can I just draw your attention to the video which shows Mirjana's left eye looking directly into the sun at 1min 45sec through to 2min 9sec. A bit longer than '1sec'. But the duration is not the issue. Mirjana's 'indifference' to the changes from sun to no sun is the thing to note.

Think about this very seriously. Each visionary (6 in all) is to be given 10 secrets. Within the last 35 years 4 or 5 have received all 10. I feel sorry for others here who still try to make fun of the Mother Mary. But I can only pray that oneday God will give them time to know and understand who the Mother Mary's is. I am praying for the leaders of other religion to really study furthermore about the choosen Mother OF Christ and teach will their members. How she was choosen and why. Many Catholics are catholics in name only, they don't practice their faith, dont pray, go to church rarely and dont receive the sacraments. I know, because I used to be one of these catholics. Mary's main message is for catholics to return to prayer because without it a lot of us will be damned but through prayer we receive the necesary graces for salvation. Jesus is the source of these graces, and prayer is where we receive them.

sapphireblue000, satan doesn't create miracles, especially when he tells people to pray and believe in Jesus. Satan creates deception only, and some signs that are permitted by Jesus. Everything about Medjugorje is centered around Jesus through Mary. Satan appeared to the visionaries as the Blessed Virgin, but he tried to get them to renounce Jesus for a brief moment. The Virgin Mary then appeared, satan vanished, because Mary was testing the visionaries and their faith in Jesus to satan.

We know they are not gods, but they represent Jesus and teach what they know to be the truth about Him. We do not pray to them, but through them. They intercede for us, which is no different if you ask some friend or relative to pray for you or whomever. We all have the power to pray to Jesus, Mary or saints,but Mary and the saints intercede. Jesus says he will intercede to the Father for us.

IF these apparitions were not of the Holy Spirit, the fruits would be bad and people would be leaving the church. But the fact that many people have returned to the church speaks volumes. If you want proof that Mary appears on earth, read up on Fatima. 70,000 people gathered and witnessed the "miracle of the sun". This included skeptical journalists who were there to discredit those apparitions, but instead witnessed and reported the miracle.

@davidtlig Read Discernment of Spirits by St. Ignatius of Loyola. ;) It would be an injustice to the people --- everyone, including the visionaries, the followers, the unbelievers of this, and even the Blessed Mother, if the Church did not wait to see the totality of the visions. Even the SAINTS have been fooled by visions that only at the end did they see the tail of the devil.
