Can these be used as automotive orbital polishers like their big brother Mirka 12? Looks like with the right backing plate and pads they’d be perfect for the small detailing needs. Thanks..

Hi Steve, these can be used with the 32mm Polarstar PSA discs for denibbing in automotive, the batteries are also compatible and interchangeable with the 77mm Mirka cordless polishers (ARP-B & AROP-B). Let us know if you need any other information.

Although I was initially drawn to this video, I soon decided the unit was not for me. Dust extraction is so important that I can't see a practical use for forgoing that for a small sanding area.

Hi there, thanks for your comment. I can't agree more that dust extraction is very important. This Cordless Sander is ideal for small areas that you can't get to with a normal sander.
