Yeah, would've been better without the Zyu suits, but some people probably like that they didn't abandon them completely since they're considered iconic.

Bandai only wanted to keep the suits for merchandise reasons. They didn't think people would buy the old stuff if they knew it was changing and they'd spent a lot of money making it. Obviously we now know that people will buy whatever comes out as they change it every year. I liked season one but I have always had an issue with season 2 as the fights were only ever with Putties and never monsters so Zedd soon became worse than Rita. They fixed most of those issues by the time season 3 came about but for me season 2 was always a bit naff.

Lloyd Baron season 2 was a huge let down from the first season and you could feel that something was missing in quality. Your point about Zedd stems from the fact that parents didn’t like how “scary” he was Saban toned them down. However Zedd never seemed scary to me but again it’s about the almighty dollar which leads to the Dairanger suits not being used

This what should of been done, give the rangers the rest of the Dairanger suits. That way the Dairanger footage for monster fights could of been used. Would of made things better and smoother
