The story touches my heart. Junka loved her mother too much and so her mother thought if she dies her daughter will break down. So she gave the mirror to console her daughter heart.

Thank you so much for this story, which is as beautiful and heartwarming as Princess Hase-Hime’s story. 😃 I wonder if Sakura and Princess Murasaki (Hase-Hime’s mother) were related, especially given how they faced their respective deaths with all the strength and grace that they had lived their lives with, and even gave their respective beloved daughters the strength and grace they needed to move on with their lives. Yes, Junka is to be applauded for her devotion to her mother’s teachings and memory, and deserved her happily ever after as much as Hase-Hime did. Mmmm…this may be random, but I also cannot help but wonder how things would have turned out for Snow White if her biological mother had also left her a mirror like Sakura did with Junka.
