Excellent! That's a funny one..I've always wondered if there is a special interviewing process people go through before coming mirror inspectors. Too good looking and many just won't stop staring at themselves hindering production. Too ugly and those might allow mirrors with defects to pass. The company really does need Joe Average for this job.

Amazing. As a kid, maybe 6 or older, I was addicted to watching these documentaries, and even though I didn't understand most of what was going on, I loved it. I remember all the music too. Now I run CNC machines, and I'm actually making a setup file for one tomorrow. Funny where life takes you.

"No teen can survive without one!" This line really puts into perspective that even if some things change, others never do. While the thing teens supposedly can't live without has changed over the years, what hasn't changed is parents stating that teens CAN'T live without this certain thing. It used to be mirrors, now it's phones. It's crazy that even after all this time, parents not understanding how kids work is STILL a thing and hasn't changed a bit.

Metals being opaque in nature, a very thin coating is sufficient. Silver and copper are highly malleable and now a days very thin films, like we use in micro electronics, can be prepared using spray forming. The silver backed by copper protects it. So very small quantity is sufficient to get the reflectivity required.

Your bare hands have a better grip than gloves. I'd rather a dirty mirror that can be cleaned over a broken one.
