Excellent! That's a funny one..I've always wondered if there is a special interviewing process people go through before coming mirror inspectors. Too good looking and many just won't stop staring at themselves hindering production. Too ugly and those might allow mirrors with defects to pass. The table also has small holes perforated all over it with air blowing out which cushions the blow. Metals being opaque in nature, a very thin coating is sufficient. Silver and copper are highly malleable and now a days very thin films, like we use in micro electronics, can be prepared using spray forming. The silver backed by copper protects it. So very small quantity is sufficient to get the reflectivity required.
