You may not know about this but a lot of South Korean, Japanese and Chinese movies have almost the same themes of Revenge, family values and honour like Indian movies do. So Achara understands those themes better than Jaby, since he comes from American sensibilities. That's why he even loved Go Goa Gone, but that movie flopped in India.

Vikrant Massey( the actor who plays the younger brother) is actually i one of the most underrated actors in the industry. Achara understood him, his acting and his character absolutely well (another reason why Jaby can't do without her😂). As the series develops I'm sure you'll notice that Vikrant Massey is actually a very fine actor and his character one of the most loved characters in the show. You might have seen him in Chhapaak opposite Deepika. Another movie of his "A Death in the Gunj" was also really well received.

Guddu's' character : He is a guy who is less on the brains but big on the heart, he reacts instantly to things without much thought, he is like a teenager with adrenaline rush, he is fascinated by the Mafia lifestyle, he has seen his righteous father fail to earn respect, he knows that being idealistic is pointless in a place like Mirzapur. Kaleen bhaiya or Munna seem to him like the people he can idolize. He is also a hot head and a tad bit crazy, likes violence, that explains his nuances with the gun. You'd love his character growth from here, trust me.

The story is really well noduled, as in the writer has kept a lot of open ends since beginning so even in case of dead end, the story can live on! Eg: how akhandanad's wife acts with bablu, even tho he will be having a different love interest

Alright I havent seen anyone mention this in the entire video. That scene where the brothers are discussing in the room, you see the nerd brother has bright light falling on him while Ali Fazal is almost shrouded in darkness. That is a symbolism of whose thoughts and decisions is pure (white) and dark (black) particularly in that scene. This is foreshadowing their personalities and character development in future episodes too.

15:24 It was strange because partially, to paraphrase you Achara, "it's thrown in there to be edgy for edgy sake." 25:05 It was on the nose & total spoon-feeding because the writing of this show is at a very 'film school graduate still interning level'. [P.S.: I do like the show. But I think it's fair to point out that it's a good show, not a great one.]
