EDITS: 1 So. Adventures in trying to transcribe this, will edit with updates. - First discovery after staring at this for wayy too long. The video is horizontally flipped, Will's left hand (in the video) is moving much more than the sound that's being made. Other than that there isn't any legible text so there wasn't reall a tell of the flip. - For the intro, left hand is playing CDEF FGAB#. Still working out right hand very slowly by repeating the first few seconds at half speed. First edit: After dumping this into Basic Pitch, Spotify's (ew) open source (yay) ML algorithm (meh) for turning audio into midi, I've found a few things. - My guess of CDEF FGABb is correct. - We seem to be in Bb natural minor or something like it. - The first two chords in the intro are FG#C (Fsus2) and FBbC# (which a website tells me is Faugsus4) That is pretty different from the Em Am that ultimate guitar uses, which I find fascinating.

well the In Case I Die version was recorded with a ukulele, not a piano, and he sang more in the album release instead of just screaming the lyrics. this version is more fun but the album version was meant to be cleaner

around 2017 to 2019 he had a more energetic and unhinged persona. this was an experimental style of music, something he would refer to as HIS style of music.

"Getting worse" really interesting way to phrase stuff... Yeah, I get what you mean by that, but that's just a really bad way to word it. My assumption is the "playfulness" in his music has shifted because he's maturing his persona and doesn't want to reflect the more chaotic image he used to portray. Not to say he's entirely changed, but ICIMI/ICID definitely has a more mature vibe compared to older works such as EIAL and Self-Ish, comparatively speaking. Not like I know for sure, just an educated guess.
