Y'know, given the salts in the past, this one feels rather low sodium and I can't find myself arguing because this game is practically permanently affixed to my N64. Had me looking for more media of it back in the day, as it always felt like it was the game of some popular or semi-popular anime back in the day, you know? Still, good to see Mischief Makers getting some love somewhere on the internet.

Based on a lot of the Japanese media surrounding the game, it looks highly likely that somebody was trying to springboard Mischief Makers into a multimedia franchise. Its poor sales sadly squashed that dream before it could even get a chance. A tragedy, honestly. There are so many fun, funny and memorable characters that I could easily imagine a short animated series.

My experience with this game: Found it randomly at my local video/game rental store as a kid. Played but didn't understand it 100% Just thought it was cool. Fast forward about 6 years and I'm about 13/14. Find a guy selling it out of box for like 30 bucks at a local festival. Played the shit out of it. 100% the game, Thank you Scott for bringing awareness to one of the GREATEST N64 gems out there. Oh the good memories I have of this little gem... I only ever rented this game from blockbuster myself... (Three times) But I was always said that I could never find this gem to own for myself, and while yes I could easily have just kept the copy from blockbuster... Well, her grab, pummel, and throws would obviously have to be really strong and could easily just be lifted straight from the source material, with shaking being her pummel and having her throws be just like the game she came from even to the point where she gets a gimmick where any character she throws gets a hit-box to damage other foes with. 1:52 I could see this being her dash attack or dodge animation. 2:23 Her down special could be a throwing counter like Mii brawler. 3:46 And her up special could be this pogo-stick like move here. 5:34 Well, there's her shield break animation.

This was my very first N64 game and I absolutely love it to this day. It definitely set the precedent for games I'd be interested in and continue to look for. Someone out there needs to remake this or sequel it!

YES. "Shake Shake!" I always loved this weird ass game, and I never beat it, I always got stuck at a certain point. Played it recently and finally beat it. It was quite a ride.

Was it the Olympics? That's where I always got stuck. Couldn't do the dashes, and fourth place in those events loses it for you even if you win everything else. Why did it have three nigh-identical (and boring even when you do it right) events? With four places even though there's only one other team?
