We don’t really know enough about Peter to make a true judgement, for all we know Voldemort might have promised him he would spear James and Lilly, although still a betrayal, he may have believed it was worth it to keep his friends safe as they can always have another child. I don’t believe Peter wanted to be involved in the war at all, but either would have had good intentions with his betrayal, or really feared for his life and wasn’t brave enough to accept death and chose the selfish option to live

I kinda visualized this - where James is in his room minding his own business. But he hears a knock at the front door. He opens the door and it’s snowing outside. A black dog whines. James lets Sirius inside into his room so Sirius can explain what’s up. Sirius explains he was disowned by his own family over the holidays because he’s not a hater of Muggles so he left Grimmauld Place. Sirius doesn’t know where else to live, but James offers to let him crash in his room (“Yeah it’ll be like the Gryffindor dorms.” “Only cozy and not so old.” “[laughs] Right?”) James’ parents would be alright with it, knowing they’ve heard of his struggles at home and that he looks up to James. (James’ parents should be supporting characters if a Marauders series is made official)

Very nice fan film! The actors have a lot of chemistry, they really seem like a group of friends doing stupid things together, but at the same time they have some unhealthy dynamics (Sirius contantly making fun of Peter, his jealously toward Lily, Remus who is easily talked into doing things for James...). I really like your take on Lily, who is sweet and kind, but also willing to throw Snape under the bus because she is too afraid to talk with him, or maybe she just doesn't want to, due to her budding feelings for James. All too often she is either a complete bitch or a paragon of virtue. Here she is a human being, who makes mistakes like everyone else. I like Sirius' moustache. It gave him a very nice 70s bad boy feeling. Special mention to your Peter Pettigrew, who is not an easy character to portray since we know nothing positive about him. He still has his recognizable characteristics ( his rat-like mannerism, his slouching, his akwardness) but instead of making him repulsive like in the books, they come off as adorable. I can see other people trusting him because of them, not in spite of them (a fact that he expoilted later on). And the nice little touches: Frank and Alice Longbottom, Slughorn's fish, McGonagall on Dumbledore' mission, James and Lily's picture, Wormtail's striped suit...the level of care and love is just astounding! Of course, the original locations make everything better. It's a shame you are not making more videos, I would totally watch a web series with your take on the characters!

The whole thing was amazing, it seemed straight from the books :) but a particular shout out to the three actors who portrayed peter, lily, and remus. They were so especially good! Lily was lovely, Remus was perfect and I honestly think that's the most sensitive portrayal of Peter i've ever seen, people always want to make him the bad guy, but he must have had some redeeming qualities for the others to have put up with him so long, and you guys really made him a 'real' character! Great work! The whole production was gorgeous. Another shout out to all of the people who worked behind the scenes as well, all the little details with the props gave so many clues and additional meaning to the characters, especially in the common room!! Fantastic!! Magical!! Amazing!!

Even though they were all wearing school uniforms you guys really portrayed the nature of the characters with the minor alterations, like I just loved how Sirius's tie was undone and he had a band shirt or something underneath.
