Great video, thanks. You may like to know that, some years ago as a controller of TV advertising rules, I commissioned research amongst disabled viewers into what they thought of a number of ads that depicted disabled people, sometimes in a humorous way. The viewers didn’t mind at all, even where the ads were gently mocking - they were much more concerned about the very large proportion of ads that never feature disabled people at all!

I'm a very hard and vocal worker that get praised alot for the good productions and so on and co workers there were having issues with themselves and hated that I was there trying to sort that out, theres many stories behind that. Anyways rumors were passed around and eventually it turn into different stories and made my new boss believe it. In the end I recorded every action and sent it to the branch manager, she stay quite and backed out of it. The end. No one dared to step in my path since then. I’ve been following you probably as long as you have been in the “media” so to speak. I hope my story will make sense to others: When I was 17 years old, I had moved again, and was enrolled in my 3rd high school. (My parents were very unstable) the office aid was touring me around the school while class was in session. As went along we realized it was about 5 minutes before the bell was to ring to change classes. We came upon a boy in a wheel chair, he was always allowed to get thru the building before the halls got crowded. The aid turned and said, “oh, and this is Gary Foster” and there he was. The cutest thing I’ve ever seen, in 3 seconds flat I knew I was in trouble, but you know, I was a cool kid aka headbanger lol, so I said hi, and shook his hand. He said “nice to meet you” and then WINKED at me. I turned around and said under my breath, “omg I’m gonna Marry that guy some day” Well....12/31/2011 we went to The Little White Wedding Chapel” in Las Vegas and tied the knot! I made a LOT of mistakes in the beginning, by being overly helpful, but we are best friends till the end! He didn’t stay in a wheel chair, he just used it at school for convenience. As you know, “handicapped people” are expected to be in a wheel chair, we were taught that our whole lives. But my husband uses forearm crutches. He was born with and survived Cerebral Palsy caused my medical negligence. He went to Scottish Rite for his entire child hood and was a popular guinea pig for ideas on how to “fix” his legs. He under went more then 20 surgeries by the time he was 16 years old. They even sawed his femurs in half and rotated them from back to front” anyway, we too don’t mind questions, people, including myself are naturally curious. Now RUDE people like the fart in the elevator get a different answer then nice people. Like “you WHOLE CRAP, what happened to you!” Our answer is either, “oh I got my knees blown off in W.W. 2” or, “don’t do drugs kids, I was hit by a train while planking on the tracks” Well, we definitely weren’t born during ww2 and he HAS legs and we are a little too old for “planking” But we just have fun with it. I love your candor, like “dude I WISH I had help with some freaking chores!” Anyway, it’s awesome that you share your uniqueness with the rest of us plain old folks, you are so much fun!

I get it, I’m a young person using mobility aid, it’s an uncommon scene. But shouldn’t the natural conclusion that I actually need it to walk arise after seeing me using it for nearly 2 whole years? I don’t get why people have such a hard time getting used to me using a cane. It took me like 3 first steps with it to know I was in love! I just got a new foot pad put in and I could be walking on clouds

My wife (Laurie) of thirty-four years, was a severely crippled dwarf that was totally blind. She would say, honey, could you put my leg on, or my eyes in, or dress or undress me. (I particularly enjoyed undressing her.) She was the most beautiful woman that I had ever seen; as strange as it seems, I loved her before I even knew she existed. And for those of you who are wondering about sex, she was by far the best sex that I have ever had. Her strength of character was very strong like Rowdy’s. Individuals with this level of disabilities either become depressed and socially retarded, or they become incredibly strong and intelligent people. My wife was the strongest and most emotionally stable human that I have ever known. She was so animated, that people, including her family and friends, often forgot that she was severely disabled. My wife died in 2015 at the age of fifty-six. Rowdy’s vibrant spirit reminds me of her incredible spirit of life…
