When I started flying helis in arma, I was crashing all the time, and when I started getting close to landing, I would generally tap a tree lightly and explode. I still fly, but I’ve learned how to go from fast flying to soft landings quickly, it’s a lot about getting to know to chopper. Arma is the most difficult game I’ve ever played when it comes to helis, and I hope it stays that way. Rock on Misconduct, keep up the good flying!

Dude, what's the little mute thing an the right? I notice whenever it's there, the sound of the heli is muffled, which I would KILL to be able to do. I can never hear my teammates because of the heli sound. Otherwise, kickass flying, my dude. Been getting into KOTH myself, would love to have an awesome pilot like you. Too many times I'll hop in and they'll go high, especially in a larger heli.

This reminds me of combat flying for the milsim group 7th Cav. Holy shit do they teach you to know the helicopters when you go for rotary transport. I used to do that in the blackhawks... but with that little flighty thing... GODS I CRASHED A LOT

You'd be the first person to say that! Most would argue that 1st is the harder way and is more realistic. Which is true I think, 3rd is an advantage for me... but KOTH isn't realistic and flying a chopper with no flares vs lockon missiles... I'll take any advantage I can get.

Christ, those are some epic landings dude! Quick question but how the hell do you keep a stable frame rate on KOTH when you land? My attempts at the same style of landing end in me getting mad stutter on final approach which 9 times out of 10 ends in a crash. Any advice you could share?

No, have to admit I wasn't that smart yet. Though I figured that my personal stress level needs to be taken into account, especially when playing KotH and the Bird is full I seem to be way more stressed then when doing some Pawnee runs. So I am working on that, playing KotH

the heli wants to go forward and will whip around at some point, getting up a good head(tail) of speed will make that reaction faster when it happens, I simply pedal in the direction its starting to go and accelerate the process. Learned the hard way a great many times first tho lol

Infantry only is a nice break if you are getting AA (auto-aim)'d too much, but its really fun to do hot LZ in full vehicle (just too bad they eliminated autorotation likelihood with more rocket damage)

Thanks man! The fastest easiest way to learn IMO: 1. Go into editor and create a chopper (in attributes: turn off damage) 2. Spawn self in heli (again, turn off damage) 3. Fly like a madman as low and fast as you can, try landing- a lot. 4. simply KNOW when you would have hit/crashed/died... ... that's the trick, don't go through re-spawn/re-purchase until you are flying with 75% success with damage off -then turn it back on.

So.. Why does your heli fix itself? Right around 7 minutes, and multiple other times, the main rotor gets knocked out and you hear the grinding sound, but it immediately fixes itself. Is there an auto fix script on the server? Great flying, just a bid confused

the more you roll to 90 degrees the less altitude you will gain as you slow, eventually you need to start rolling back up... if you can do that smoothly WHILE holding Z (or collective lower) that faster you will touch down safely

that servers is modded as fuck. that heli would explode SO many times in this video with normal arma physics so your flying is ofc good but that's in many cases because something's up with that server. you smash into poles, you clip hard into antennas with your rotors and even had your tail completely touching the ground at one point so i wouldn't call you amazing before you pulled everything off on a server without these vehicular enhancement because something IS up with this and you're playing it off. i got almost 500 hours in arma, you're not gonna sit there and tell me i'm wrong

I have 5000+ hours in Arma, you are not wrong but you seem to be deceived by the wins factor here. If you take KOTH with Arma physics (i.e. weird shit happens) and record anything interesting, then delete everything that is boring or bad, results: you see hitting poles with no damage or impossible things happening all in a row and it looks, well... impossible.

I think what he is saying is that the flying isn't all that great.. 5000+ hours in Arma 3 is a bit of a sad low life thing to do really! unless you mean Arma in general, which it is still a bit low life but we all know how buggy arma physics work.. we also all know how easy any aircraft is to blow up once it touches anything in flight..even a leaf...but here is you slamming in to the ground...striking tail rotor, bumping into buildings etc etc
