Dear All, This is a Greek song the title of which is MISIRLOU meaning "Egyptian girl",, written by a Greek person who loved this girl when in Egypte there was living in Alexandria a big Greek community which left Egypte in the decade of 1950 because of political events at that moment. It is not a surprise that the Greeks can write such beautiful songs because they have invented MUSIC 3000 years ago. Thank you.

"Invented music" I'm dying. People probably sang before they were actually people, evolutionary speaking. And god has fuck all to with it it's mathematics. I, however give you that greek philosophy laid the foundation for what we consider modern music theory and aristoteles figured out most of the important stuff around frequency and how to mathematically determine a chromatic scale. Still, Saying he invented music would be like claiming that elon musk invented the car.

Perfecttttttttt!!!!! Caroline Campbell kemanın hakkını A'dan Z'ye veriyor. Duygu ve ihtişam hepsi bir arada. Ayrıca piyanosunda katmış olduğu güzellik alıyor götürüyor. Müziğin evrenselliği bu işte. Kulağa hoş gelsin, hangi dilde hangi kıtada olursa olsun farketmez. Gerçekten bravo! Daha kaç defa izlerim sayısını unuttum. Muhteşem!

@@jackwhitestripe7342 It's a Greek song supposedly for an Egyptian girl. We'll never know whether the creator has had in mind an actual person from Egypt or it's simply the title. If you think this is non-Greek, show me the proof, I'd like to listen to it, would be interesting. We've got the Greek song released in 1927 in Athens, first. No indication Egypt was involved.

Love the way she interprets the opening. There is the distinct melancholic sound of a Middle Eastern heart breaking in there. Loved it. Now I'm going to have to try add this into my piano rendition. Not sure if I can capture that plaintive wail on the piano though. Maybe the organ or flute. I regret not learning the violin now.

Lauren's incredibly rich, smooth lower register when combined with her characteristic breathy tone and falsetto, added to her equally incredible higher range demonstrates rime and time again that she really is a truly world class singer! Lauren, you are in my opinion, this generations Witney...can a better compliment be given? If it was yourself who was fortunate enough to have sung My Heart Will Go, rather than Celine, you would have been just as globally popular and loved. I cannot get enough of your incredible vocal ability.

@@yorkuz The origins of this song has been traced back to 1924 and it is either of Greek or Turkish origins nobody knows who is the writer/composer of this song but it was played by local musicians (Greek and Turkish) as early as 1924. So the chances are this song is much older
