Found a misfire on cylinder #5, and found the ignition coil module missing pieces of its housing. So, this, along with fouled out plugs and wires, were replaced. No more misfire! Follow me on Instagram: @Mk6Guy

Yeah, the aux water pumps are typically after run pumps to keep coolant flowing after the car is off to prevent boiling in the system. Just an extra precaution vw took since vr6 engines tend to run hotter than most. I like to grab them at the local yards if I can, good to have extras since new ones are so expensive.

Spray the pcm with electronic cleaner and let dry or blow out with air. Never take a vw through a car wash either.

Fan control module is under the battery under the frame rail. It’s probably not the control module but corroded plug pins. The aux pump runs for a while after shutting the car off and when you open the door before starting..

Yeah mine stays running constantly and drains the battery from drawing constant power. I just leave it unplugged. Nothing wrong with it unplugged.

That aux water pump runs for a hot minute after the car gets shut off... lol and that H5 or whatever it was I THINK converts to like T25-T30

Why didn't you buy coils from msd? The pump must run 10 minutes after you turn off the ignition, possibly a bad relay!
