Pure awesomeness woody. At first when I looked at thumbnail, I thought you have old gas mask on your face. The one with that hosepipe. But it's only guitar strap. "What the hell? Is that a gas mask on his face? He made a Chernobyl version? RAD!!!"

Man if you knew how much comfort these videos bring me since I discovered your videos back when I was in high school... I also watched "Hockeyrocks" bass covers at the time with whom you did a collab once and I am always happy to see that you are still posting covers again and gain. Well I wish I could get the early Ramone sound but the mosrite copies aren't that cheap. Hallmark pickups would sound good though as someone on internet tried on a cheap squier strat. Do you still use your tiny terror? Cheers and may your punk covers never end !

Thanks for your inspirational words. Yeah, busy now for 12 years, not as fanatic as before because the old age is kicking in, dramatically reducing my down picking speed, but I try to work my way around. I've swapped the Tiny Terror for a small Marshall tube amp somewhere around 2015/2016. It's a more versatile amp. For a Ramones pickup I would recommend the DiMarzio FS-1, the same as Johnny used in all of his Mosrites.

@@woodyamsterdam you're welcome ! You're always rocking it to me, but take care anyways. And thanks for the advice, I was a bit hesitating for this pickup but I may give it a try since you're the man ! Cheers

Come Woody, great tone. Is that Les Paul a Harley Benton?. Sounds really good
@woodyamsterdam4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes it's a Harley Benton SC-Custom. But I have replaced the bridge pickup with a Gibson '57 Classic Plus.

What is your signal chain? Or amp? I've got a Boss Katana and can't replicate Doyle's tone all that easily, I've got it somewhat but it's not as close as this.
