I rarely subscribe to anything after one video, but watching you pull that history out of your own past!!! My god man, I’ve been listening to Al’s Bar ‘82 for the better part of of 30 years now, and you are the first person I’ve seen talk about that gig because you were there!! What a loud ass show!!! Plus you got to hear them do some songs twice!! The “if you don’t know…” is a repressing of a much older boot under the same name, and they even kept the incorrect image of samhain on the cover, faithful to the original cover, which I think was a ‘45. Static age came out (finally!!!) in 1997, not too long after the Misfits Box set. 12 hits from hell was ironically blocked by both Glenn and Jerry for poor sound quality. If you saw Samhain at the star land ball, there is a dvd of that show, fully licensed by Glenn that has been released. Holy shit, what another incredible show you saw!!!!! The Santa Monica show of the Misfits show you went to exists on KZbin to this day if I’m remembering correctly. Beckey Catlett I love that version - you can hear a lot of more of the haunting background vocals & chimes & the production is even muddier. I like the misfits but I don’t listen to them much anymore. When I was growing up every band covered them. So I got sick of hearing there songs. I sorta seen them live in the early 2000’s with Jerry Only, Dez Cadena and Marky Ramone.

I've never listened to the later Misfits albums. They sure did have a lot of big names playing on them though.

The softer gentler Richie. I just couldn't hold it in all the way to the end.

Vinyl rich. I am tired of looking at your Misfits records. They should be ONLY 1st PRESSINGS and nothing less.

I've never heard a "punk" band change sounds so pronounce-edly change styles and have it all still sound organic....also never heard such a garbage ass recording or playing be so terrible yet so damn good as Evillive....lol....the dates on most of Misfits releases are misleading because the catalog is so convoluted and discombobulated...
@vinylrichie0072 жыл бұрын
Convoluted and discombobulated sums it up quite well.

@@vinylrichie007 I'm w you on that first Danzig being a jumping off point...never been so disappointed by a release..thin weakly recorded band (even though they were solid and competent players) and Glen's vocals had waaaayyyyy too much ego stroking from Rubin...
