Misha's never said it directly, but he likes to tease the fans about it. He's admitted that he's been told to play Castiel like a jilted lover (though I don't know if he was joking). He said that no one on the set really talks about it, but they are all perfectly aware of the ship's existence. I think Jensen's kind of warming up to the ship, though. As for Jared, I don;t really know, either.

actually I know what you mean and it's something that somehow scares me, because Destiel wouldn't just be great for the characteres (because I think they really need each other to be happy) but also for the whole LGBT community, since they are barely ever represented in successful shows, games etc + Dean developing feelings/ discovering he has feelings for a guy could help some people out there who struggle with their sexuality, not knowing what to feel and if it's ok to feel that way. And I fear that it might never become canon because of "reasons". Anyway, I think things changed a bit. I don't live in America, so I can not really judge the situation, but I think gay marriage being legalised and the whole lgbt community and supporters being "louder" will have an impact. Also: Misha totally ships it (he said so himself) and I think some of the writers do as well. so don't give up hope yet :)

That's why I don't see Destiel shipping as like, say, Sabriel shipping (which is plain ridicolous) or Shenny shipping on the Big Bang Theory. It's not the viewers seeing something that's not there but the writers being cheap.

Sabrina Uribe I know exactly, what you mean. But on the other hand, I don't know how many theories you've read about that, I personally think that it would exactly fit Deans character. The way we see him acting around gay couples/ when a guy is flirting with him etc. I think he mig be suppressing it, this being the reason why he totally falls out of character during such situations. If you are interested, I can check if I find the whole post that convinced me that Dean might actually be bi. But it's not like I expect him to suddenly idk break out it tears and tell Cas everything or something like that, that really wouldn't fit. I like the thought that Cas already know about it because he leaned everything about Dean while rebuilding his soul but has never brought it up since it simply doesn't make any difference to him. But at some point (actually I don't know what's happening at the moment, I'm still watching season 8, so this might not make any sense) Cas might just tell Dean because he knows him and sees that it tears him apart or sth. It is a fact that there are many Destiel moments, momets which are not just interpretation, and that Dean acts differently around Cas than he does around anyone else, same for Cas towars Dean. So there might still be hope. Anyway, thank you so much for answering! :)

I thought Meg and Castiel were actually pretty damn cute in season 7 and then when she returned in season 8 I was all with the feels for the pairing. Love the dynamic between Dean and Castiel's characters their bond is awesome, but I also thought him and meg were super cute especially the whole demon/angel pairing after being on opposite sides of the war for so long and then through common interests becoming if not friends than allies out of necessity was cute.
