It's definitely projection on your part cause Misha has said numerous times he loved that interview. He even posted about it the day of Larry King's passing. King had a dry sarcastic sense of humor same as Misha. So he'll say something with a straight face but would totally be f*cking with people. The don't dislike each other. The body language on Misha's side is more uncomfortable during certain questions. You can see he tries to be more composed and thinks what he says. The strangest fan-mail question especially, where you can see Misha finding something that is NSFW since we all know what stuff happen in the fandom :P During cons he knows his audience where he can talke about basically anything. Here not. Also, Larry King is very famous, so he is probably a bit intimidated as well. As for Larry, he is an oldschooler and just does not know much about the topics he is talking about here and probably does not fully understand it. And let's be honest, many topics about Misha, SPN, GISH are more understood by the community than those who are outside of it.

And the uncomfortable part most likely comes from the fact that he tries to watch what he is saying. A con and this type of a show are totally different formats and require different kind of approach. At cons you have the people who know you and already like you. You can be free to an extent and you cater to that audience. On this show, which is watched by people who likely have no idea who Misha or Supernatural are, you have to be different and act different. You match your audience.

Take note, Misha said 'other individuals' meaning it could have been either male or female when talking about threesomes. Misha shows what an amazing person he is during this interview. He is able to show his humorous side while talking in a serious tone. I can agree with his point at the beginning. Supernatural's fandom is incredibly devoted because it has been present in most of today's adults teenage years. So it gives that familiar and soothing air of nostalgia, that's why everyone seems to love it. Also the way the actors interpret a group of friends makes the show feel like a cozy BFF reunion. Living the adventures with them, laughing and crying with them. Good actors + empathy for the show, it's what it is.
