Wow, every shop you go to in Germany is clean with mechanics that look like they know exactly what they're doing.

It's a fancy area, where there's only nice shops. But don't get fooled and think that mechanics are better in Germany than everywhere else, they have their fair share of hacks too.

This is why I bring a lot of stuff into the shop now. With the right tools and enough practice, a weeks worth of work for me gets reduced down to a few hours. You just need to find some guys you can trust. Great work.

Powerflex bushing sure does make a difference to subframes. I did yellows on my E92 a few years ago. The good thing is obviously more control, no more rear 'torque steer' and they're easier to fit, the down side is i get resonance noise at certain RPM's. For this reason and because it's a road car i'm going to fit stock M3 bushes this year which are solid rubber without the voids of non ///M cars. The lesson i've learnt is poly bushing is great for track cars where NVH doesn't matter but for a road car just stick with good quality new rubber bushings.

Big horses need upgrades and big brakes... nicely done👍
@jhill923 жыл бұрын
This video gave me ptsd from the time when I upgraded the brakes on my '99 Passat a couple of years back. Had to cut off the rear wheel bearings because the bolts were just multiple layers of rust. Also updated to braided brake lines. The connection from the body to the rear axle is rubber pressed on a solid line. I had to order the solid lines in the right length and bend them myself. Ended up doing everything from the abs block to the wheels. What I had planned to be a weekend job turned into a multiple weeks nightmare. But the brakes turned out nice and I learned a ton from it.
