I owned an F82 M4 6/7 years ago. Regardless of how expensive they were, they are old now, cheaper than that mini and miles more common. It's cool to see the Gp get used. I loved my first generation one. Before I sold it a year ago.

If you haven't done it, you just don't know. On this kind of wide angle video it just looks completely harmless compared to what it is IRL - the elevation changes are insane, and the track is much tighter IRL than it seems on video.

It is quite obvious that the tighter the curves become, the closer the Mini comes and when it goes onto the straight it loses something again, which means a short wheelbase and low weight equal more maneuverability and agility

Honestly props to the owner, really need humility at times when you’re shown where you can improve in such a drastic way. In the autocross community we ca them Aliens, people who can really demoralize you when you think you have as much in it as you can, but are far from what is possible. Leyton is a properly quick driver and that car is a monster. Seen him a number of times on track in this and his GT3RS. He was kind enough to take me on some passenger laps in his old GT3RS at Castle Combe and casually set the road car lap record 😅

I can kinda understand the M4 owner, it's genuinely shocking at times how fast other people can drive. I still remember going to the ring, and getting to the track near a corner, spotting a 911 of some form coming towards the corner, and I got genuinely nervous "are they not going to brake before the corner?" and the sheer speed they took the corner has stuck with me ever since... and I wasn't even a passenger!
