IMO, the new Supra is the most misunderstood car of the year. Those that has actually drove one has nothing but good reviews of it.

Most people just don't like the fact that a JDM sportscar and successor to a JDM hero is made in Austria, i guess. JDM fans are hard to please. Honda could probably tell some stories about that. Mitsubishi gave up. Toyota still tries. Nissan is kinda successful with their R and Z lineup. Wonder if there'll ever be a S16. Or how Honda fails at a S2000 revival. For me it's the nose of the Supra that ruins it for me. With some sensible aftermarket bodyparts i would probably like it more. But the stock nose just looks weird to me.

No one argues about its driving abilities, it's a great car but it doesn't change the fact that a japanese legend is now german. It's just straight up lying to the jdm fans and admitting that Toyota can't produce a sports car.

@@Verybadbiker Well how about the fact that the Supra had a history of collaboration with other automakers and brands? The MK2 with Lotus? The MK3 with Yamaha? The MK4 with Yamaha and a German manual gearbox as an option? And even the 2000GT with Yamaha? Co-developing a car isn't badge engineering. Let alone the fact that BMW wanted the collaboration to happen the moment the 86 was launched, Toyota and BMW co-developed the platform then split off independetly developing their own cars alone with it.

Yes Robert, the GR Supra has tire pressure monitoring, including temperature monitoring. Pretty cool and useful info when driving on track.

After Fuchsröhre everything was already said in the conversation. This is the next upcoming nring tank. The z4 did 7:55 in the hotlap the M2 7:52. the Supra will be „the“ next Tracktool taking place next to the RSs, M3s, Megans....awesome!

Why would someone who hates on the Supra be guaranteed to also hate on the Senna? AFAIK they are disliked for completely different reasons, one for the BMW connection and the other for the way it looks.

S3V3N13TT3R5 at first I didnt like the look of the Senna either, but the more I see it, the more I do like it though. And the facts of it are just amazing. But I loved the new Supra since the first time I saw it and cant understand the hating about the BMW Engine. Nobody of them would hate it if it was called a Z4.

The Senna whilst undoubtedly great was sold as something it isnt. People were calling it a hypercar when "all it is" is a track focused 720s with a HUGE price increase. The Supra however is imo being unfairly maligned as a BMW in drag wherein its a very cool project that takes the mostly bmw mechanicals and produces 2 very different but equally impressive and different cars - one a BMW the other a Toyota. Each deserving of the badge it wears

Supra is way nicer then the Senna. Senna is kind of 'meh' - Supra will be a big platform for people to tweak and upgrade.

and if u add that it have B58 engine that is super easy to mode.. with just.. downpipe + ecu + turbo u can have 600-650hp. is just crazy! and seams that chassy can handle that power. What a bargan! about exhuast.. i really recommand miltek.

Wet conditions and stock tires aside, it still seems to me this car lacks a bit of rear end grip. I'm excited what proper alignment, suspension and track tires will do. Are you planning on fitting a wing?

JDM guys hate this Supra since it's a BMW. An endless money pits as their age and some of them are mechanic who have worked on BMW and most of them has similar answer after fixing a BMW, a mechanical nightmare to work on compared to Japanese engine, and parts never came cheap when it needs replacing. If you have endless supply of money to fix them when they break go right ahead. BMW also notorious for crappy plastic parts that breakdowns a lot yet expensive as hell compared to Japanese car and engine which use a lot of metal equivalent parts. Also BMW electronics always break down in hot and humid climate in South East Asia and the wiring always short out somewhere which again a very expensive fix.

HobbyPlayground what’s bad about it being a BMW. Still follows the Supra tradition being 6 cyl turbo. And still fairly affordable and fun to drive. BMW interior is also very nice in my opinion better than Toyota.

If I would be rich enough and had money to buy new sport coupe, It would be out od my list because it is BMW with Toyota badge. Like a fake watch can have same Miyota mechanism like original. If I were Toyota, I couldn't do it. Not like that. Many manufacturers do it, but more disguised. I see the hype about this car, I beleive it is good, even better then BMW, because someone at Toyota played with it, but I couldn't buy it.

Obviously both of you are not familiar with BMW cars...it should be the same in Supra...when you start the car (like in this video) and put gear in drive mode or manual mode car is ready for drive. No need to manually turn off parking brake...Similarly in Misha's previous video, after he shut off the engine, there is no need for manually pressing park button on gear lever...it will be done automatically...

slobodan manojlovic my issue is I have too many cars and switch from all the brands and all the models and none of them are the same so it takes me a second to adjust. I also don’t drive many of them on the street so I don’t do all of these fancy parking and stopping and e brake things. Turn it on, turn traction off and hit the track. I probably have 15 BMWs if I were to count so plenty of familiarity if needed
