To be fair most show up with their dailies which do keep up with daily tasks. Going on track just puts that much of a gap in stress and reliability. Think about it like this - Misha drives a lap or two and gets impressed that it keeps up and then ...you have 24 hour races. Crazy.
@user-yq6ov6ow7l7 ай бұрын
@@fartloudYTi mean track use is just heat on multiple systems. If your cooling systems can’t dissipate enough heat, it will eventually overheat. To build a real race car all you need to do is reach the point where you can dissipate as much as it produces. Anything that can do 2-3 laps doesn’t need much more cooling to do it for 24 hours.

Seriously impressive. More hatches like this and the Corsa please :P Edit: Ultimately I am happy with the power of my car. I am a new driver in my 30's so I come equipped with a bit more wisdom and enough driving basics through simracing. I've never been a fan of massive power beyond games and think that handling is more important and mostly more fun. As it has been said, it's better to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow.

The owner was in shock that Misha could just jump in and figure the car out so quickly. That looks like one heck of a fun thing to drive. It seems the steering is a bit darty which might just be suspension settings. A short wheelbase and wide track is an interesting combo to get right. Maybe the two different tires played into that?
@lknowledge2 жыл бұрын
Even in stock form the steering is fast and after jumping in from some other cars its quite darty. MK8 is even worse in a good way until you get used to it. Really loved my tuned MK7 and MK8 Fiesta STs but turned another corner and went back to basics with old school classic 1990 MX-5 as my new daily. But still miss the frantic power from the 1.5l 3cylinder of the tuned MK8.
@lknowledge2 жыл бұрын
@iNSTAGiB depends on what you want. MK7 is the more "raw" package but MK8 is more refined and better in many other ways. MK7 turns "behind you", MK8 turns "around you". Id say I would prefer the MK8. Better seats, LSD, usable infotainment, faster steering, turns around you and you sit low and comfortable, better sounds (3 cylinder sounds like a mix of straight 5 and V6) etc. Both are epic fun, but day to day MK8 wins. And Its not like that MK8 is a boring one after MK7. One of the biggest problems with MK8 is the brakes, they just can't keep up with the car even on a fast B-road.
