In Poland you go to school being 6 or 7yo and then have 8 years of elementary/middle school (we used to have separate middle school, but now we don't, we call whole 8 years szkoła podstawowa, which would be translated as elementary one) and you start high school at the age of 14/15 Tho most of people usually goes there at the age of 7 I think But idk, I went as 6yo and wasn't the only one, I think my class in elementary school was more half to half Also the thing that matters is the year you were born, not the exact date, as it is in Slovakia from what I heard, so if you were born in December you can still go to school not being fully 6 I was born September 26th so starting elementary school I was also 5 actually But every country has a different system, I know that Ukraine for example has one year less of obligatory education, so people there go to university being younger than us I have no idea how is this in Macedonia

In Germany, elementary school goes 4 years and children start at 6 years old, when born before july and at 7,when born since july. After that, they transfer to either "Gymnasium" (most advanced level) or "Gemeinschaftsschule" (everyone else). In the first, you go from 5th grade until 12th or 13th grade, before you do your final exam "Abitur" and have a qualification for University. In the lower level, you have school from 5th grade until 10th. Some of them offer the 11th-13th grade additionally though. And kids can decide, if they go for work after 10 school years or continue school for 2-3 years, until they graduate from there for a better job / university.

In France you have what other countries call "kindergarten" where you learn the very basics from 4 to 6 yo (3 to 5 yo if you're born after September. Although at 3-4 yo it's more like a nursery rather than a school tbh). Then from 7 to 11 (6 to 10 if you were born after September) you go to elementary school for 5 years. When I was in elementary school we used to have exams at the end of "CM2" (= equivalent of fifth grade) to see if we had the level required to go to middle school but idk if they still exist nowadays. Then from 12 to 15 (11 to 14 if you were born after September) you go to middle school for 4 years. At the end of "3ème" (= equivalent of ninth grade. Yes, in France we count classes in descending order and not ascending order because we count the remaining years before the final academic exam and not the amount of years you've spent at class. Don't ask me why, I'm not responsible for this 😂) we also pass a series of exams, what we call "brevet des collèges" where you're tested in French, Maths, History & Geography and Sciences. Finally from 16 to 18 (15 to 17 if you were born after September) you go to high school for 3 years. At the end of high school, you pass what we call "baccalauréat" (often shortened "BAC", it's France's equivalent of Germany's "Abitur") which grant you access to university studies. However, unlike probably other countries, nowadays' "BAC" is not passed only at the end of the final year which final exams (it used to be the case but not anymore). Now, everything you do from start to finish at high school counts for your BAC's final grade so, basically, we're not evaluated only with one final series of exams. We still have final exams of course, but not only. In our new BAC since 2020, basically, the students build their own courses with the choice of three specialities (= to sum up quickly, these are classes which are very important in the BAC's evaluation, they are the main classes. They're supposed to specialize you in certain subjects. Enhance the "supposed" 'cause it's more complicated than that actually). We also have "technological BACs" (I translated it litteraly so it might sound weird) which are already specialized in scientific stuffs, their classes and exams aren't the same as "general BACs" (although they still pass a BAC, it's just not the same format) But we have two specific types of high school : "general" ones (where you pass BAC) and also "professional" ones in which you don't pass the BAC but other """lower grade""" diplomas (although I strongly disagree with this cliché which is spread in France). Classes there last for 2 to 3 years and basically mix regular school classes with professional trainings of a certain job (hence why it's called "professional high school). And then you enter university where you do a Bachelor's degree (= 3 years) and then decide to go further with a Master's degree (= additional 2 years), or even further with a PhD (= additional 3 years) but that's the same everywhere else I think. (I have no idea if that was clear or not 😂)
