Tip: for a better and more authentic taste you should add radiation

You are joking, but there is some radioactive material in american toothpaste. So you COULD add some toothpaste to it to make it more authentic (or just add the radioactive juices)
@_wanted_outlaw30073 жыл бұрын
I think you're talking about potassium? That's probably what's in the toothpaste it's also in bananas, apparently if you eat 600 one sitting something bananas you would die of radiation poisoning from the potassium, but it would take a couple days for the radiation to soak in, if you eat 600 bananas you have more problems than radiation though lol.

For those of you looking to make the "Lore Accurate" version of Nuka Cola, note that the recipe calls for the _essences_ of the 17 different fruit, and not necessarily their juices. To pull this recipe off, you'll need flavor extracts of most of these fruit. Note that these extracts are quite potent, and for the purposes of this recipe, you should probably only add about a quarter teaspoon of each. Also, if you add grape juice, use the dark variety as this helps maintain the color of the final product better. And for that truly authentic Nuka Cola experience, be sure to add the Radioactive Strontium Isotopes at the end.

Finally got around to making my own Classic and Quantum, and here are my thoughts/suggestions. For the Classic; Browning Sauce. There are 2 products known as browning sauce, depending on where you live you might be familiar with both, or maybe only one, but let me explain: In North America and most of Europe, from what I can tell, "Browning Sauce" is a vegetable based coloring, thickener and flavoring used in gravies, soups and meat dishes to add deeper color and a savory taste. In the Caribbean and some parts of South America, "Browning Sauce/Browning Liquid" is an ingredient made out of caramelized brown sugar or molasses, and water, used to add color and a slightly sweet and smoky flavor to baked goods and glazes. Obviously, I'm pretty sure that one is more appropriate for making a soda than the other. The final product is very tasty, and IMO tastes kind of like Dr Pepper, but swapping the underlying cherry flavor for an underlying citrus flavor, which makes sense. The Nuka-Cola Float is legitimately one of the tastiest ice cream-based things I've ever had. For the Quantum; cut the Citric Acid. I only used half as much as directed, and it's still overpowering. If you've eaten or drank anything remotely sweet prior to tasting the Quantum (like the Classic...) all you're going to taste is the citric acid. On its own, Quantum has a very fruity taste that is very unique, and I actually kind of like it more than the Classic. But you're gonna need like, 20 drops of coloring in the syrup to get the right color.
@RJLiams Жыл бұрын
Did you use specifically neon blue dye? Mines came out extremely blue with the 5 drops. Also I'm glad I'm not the only one who found the original recipe off putting. I drank it and it was really sour. I'll try cutting out the citric acid and see how it comes out.
@Connor_Tyler Жыл бұрын
@@RJLiams I think it needs at least a little bit, the flavors really seem to be geared towards that sour bite, but just a sprinkle would probably do it.
@RJLiams Жыл бұрын
@@Connor_Tyler But that's what the lime and lemon are for. The zest and juice of 1 whole lime and lemon would add plenty of sour flavor without overpowering it.
@RJLiams Жыл бұрын
@@Connor_Tyler So I remade it with your advice, and you're right. The citric acid is needed. I would say 1/4 of a teaspoon is a good base, and then add from there to taste. For me, half a teaspoon was enough.

In universe we do know that there is a Passion Fruit alternative flavor and within Nuka Cola there is also likely Guava and Pomegrante too aside our more citrus that the cookbook provides. I could also see a Cactus flavor as one of the flavors. Also fun fact: Soda was originally medicinal as cough medicines before early soda companies like Coca Cola started marketting it as a soft drink instead, leaving a lot of early Sasparilla and alternatives to things like 7Up. However you get a few old brands like Hires, Vernors, and Moxie still kicking too with 7Up as one of the PreCola brands to which basically all are owned by Dr. Pepper except for Moxie to which is just in its small market as its based on herbs that go well with fish.

Who wants coke to make some limited edition nuka cola flavors for the new tv show
@exilestudios95463 жыл бұрын
ya know i doubt they ever will but i hope they make another one of these with recipes from 76 as there is some food and drinks in that game that would be really cool to make IRL though hopefully they leave nukashine out of it as i dont want to black out and wake up somewhere else
@BakaTaco3 жыл бұрын
Drink Nukashine and one of two things will happen... You will black out and stay that way. You will black out and wake up in/think you're in a world far into the future where there was some kind of nuclear war.

Hey, these videos are real neat, cooking and games are some of my more favorite pass times. I would've thought that Nuka Quartz was supposed to be an analogue to sprite, not cream soda, but interesting choice on the cookbook. Not sure if tabletop is your scene, but have you considered looking into the Heroes Feast cookbook? It's a dungeons and dragons themed cookbook. Me and a couple of friends tried out some of the recipes ourselves when we hung out last, and they were pretty good

I've never played D&D but I've been told the cookbook is good so I might check it out eventually. Also hoping to try D&D one day!

I’ve always wanted Bethesda and coke to do a promotion for a new fallout game and make some nuka cola/coca cola bottles. Like I wouldn’t even mind if they had nuka cola on one side and Coca Cola on the other. I’d just love to have it

Pretty interesting! I would have......1. Nuka Cola : Poured a regular Coca-Cola into a nuka Cola bottle. 2. Cherry Nuka Cola : Poured a cherry Coca-Cola into a Cherry Nuka Cola bottle. 3. Nuka Cola quantum : Faygo raspberry or cotton candy into Nuka Cola Quantum bottle. 4. Nuka Cola quartz : Pour non-alcoholic White Russian into a nuka Cola quartz bottle or just don't. And for the Nuka Cola float : just put Coca-Cola with vanilla ice cream and enjoy. That's what I would do if I was just doing something at my house and then I probably wouldn't even drink'em, I would just put'em in a display somewhere. Somebody could actually just use water with color especially if they weren't going to drink it and just use it for a display.

Great video! I haven’t made the quantum yet because I couldn’t see it being that beautiful color with the pomegranate juice and fruit punch added. Looks like the nuka cherry is also not as pictured which is disappointing but it makes sense. I actually like the quartz but it is very simple tasting. I’m curious: what size jars were you using to store the syrups? They look perfect!
@MisoHungrie3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Charity! I believe the mason jars I used were 500 ml wide mouth. Although for the regular Nuka Cola recipe I had to use two jars because it was a big batch but only showed one in the video.
