Cultural references The five sorcerers chant "Wir sind die Pfeifer von Hameln", which translates to "We are the pipers from Hamelin," and is a reference to the German folktale of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, about a ratcatcher who lured away a town's children out of spite for not being paid. However, in German, he was not called "Pfeifer", but "Rattenfänger" (Ratcatcher). The song Artemis sings is a combination of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Baa, Baa, Black Sheep and the Alphabet song, three nursery rhymes set to the same tune. Kid Flash refers to himself as "Speedy Gonzalez".

Trivia Main title clips: Klarion rubbing his hands in delight (00:55) Zatanna talking (reversed) (01:54) Robin and Zatanna working on the Cave's computer (03:40) The gem glowing on the center of the pentagram (14:18) Billy Batson looking shocked (06:31) Klarion in the center of the pentagram (00:33) Number 16: The Team helps Zatanna unpack as she moves into the Cave at 09:16 EST. The broadcast of this episode within the DC Nation block replaced the opening sequence with an intertitle logo. The high definition airing, however, features the customary opening sequence. The last timestamp is the first to use Standard Time instead of Daylight Time. The clock is moved back one hour on the first Sunday of November, in this case November 7. Rocket stops a bus from falling off a bridge. This is a running gag, since it also happened in "Schooled" and "Revelation". It is also worth noting it is the same school bus. When Commissioner Gordon is addressing the mob, he tells them "all you're doing is creating a dangerous distraction from what really matters tonight". This overlaps with Sportsmaster and the Riddler driving away with a stolen briefcase, thus gaining a double meaning and explaining the plot of the episode to the viewers. Captain Marvel refers to the children's world as a "world without grown-ups". World without Grown-Ups was the storyline that introduced Young Justice in the comics. Klarion says "Team work is so overrated." Thailog said the same thing in the episode "Sanctuary" of Gargoyles, also produced by Greg Weisman. The order of the on-screen members of the Light in the Brain's headquarters corresponds to the order of their induction: L-1, L-2, L-3, (L-7 is centered because he is speaking directly to the Brain) L-4 and L-5. The sixth screen presumably belongs to L-6, but the Brain is not on it because we see the scene from his point of view. This episode aired in Brazil on March 8. Zatara's self-sacrifice in this episode parallels the death of the original DC Comics version of the character. Here, he becomes Nabu's host in place of his daughter, saying "Ekat em daetsni" ("Take me instead"). In the Swamp Thing comic series, Zatara saved Zatanna from being consumed fighting the Original Darkness by incanting "Ssenkrad ekat em daetsni" ("Darkness take me instead"). A sequence depicting two tweens joyriding in a speedboat, and rescued from certain death by Aqualad, has been animated but was cut for time. It would have formed part of the montage where Superboy rescues a toddler trapped in a crashed car and Miss Martian scares off a couple of grafitti artists. When Artemis says that she is not a "cat person", she is alluding to her sister Cheshire. Roanoke was chosen as the location for the spell because it was the site of the disappearance of the Roanoke Colony. This episode is featured on Young Justice: Dangerous Secrets and The Best of Warner Bros. - DC Comics Collection.

Goofs When Amber checks her watch, it's five minutes to twelve. She disappears seconds later, before midnight. When the sorcerers are chanting and the four adults disappear, Klarion's eyes are solid red when he stops chanting. However, when Klarion disappears from the adult world, his eyes are human. The Paris timestamp uses Central European Summer Time on November 5. Though the American daylight savings time ends on the first Sunday of November, in France, it's the last Sunday of October, in this case, October 31. Marvin had brown eyes when introduced in "Targets". In spite of this, he has blue eyes in "Failsafe", "Secrets" and this episode. When Billy materializes in the Cave and the Team is walking towards him, a frame shows Miss Martian's body as being in front of Superboy's. This is impossible because her feet are behind his feet. When Artemis lines up to shoot at Teekl, Kid Flash's cast is missing. When Klarion raises his hand to transmorph Artemis's arrow, his long black fingernails are missing. When the Riddler enters the room, he is carrying the case holding the piece of Starro in his right hand, but he sets it down with his left hand. Furthermore, he was wearing a black glove on the arm that carried the case holding the piece of Starro, but after he sets the case down, both hands are bare. The television broadcast came with credits of the next episode, "Coldhearted".

Who murdered Kent's dad, wiped his memories and aged him to adulthood instantly to adulthood. Spent like a week on magical boot camp, then restored Kent's memories so his acolyte would murder him and he could bind his spirit to the helmet. It was revealed in the 80s title that Fate was always supposed to be a triumvirate, a man, woman, and Nabu. But instead of being the senior partner, Nabu could have been outvoted, so he settled for being a far less powerful Doctor Fate than he could have. That's all that means. He's no weaker to it than any other Justice League member (Except maybe wonder woman)
@panagis6303 жыл бұрын
@@obi3924 But that's exactly what constitutes magic as his weakness, he is otherwise invulnerable to most forces and that's litteraly his whole "selling point"(heck he doesn't even really have a decent fighting style and relies only on brute force to get him through,that's my only gripe with superman....all these times you would have thought he would ahve asked some training tips from another one of the JL members to help him overcome that shortcoming),he can output raw strength that can even hurt someone like Darkseid and is nigh-invulnerable,yet all that goes down the drain when it comes to magic since he can't overpower magic(unless it's a magic construct that use physical mediums like golems),and for someone like Superman whose main plan 9/10 times is punch it really hard till it breaks or face it head on,that constitutes a weakness.

There's a Green Arrow comic where Oliver's son gets shot. They're on a boat in the middle of the fucking ocean and Green Arrow just yells "CLARK!" Boy is all the way at the office and comes hauling ass halfway across the earth. Best use of Superman's powers.

There are different versions of Dr. Fate such as one where it’s a 50/50 split in terms of control and even a version where Nabu doesn’t take over at all and only pops up occasionally. Here they gave Nabu full control

Dr Fate could actually defeat Klarion for good, but it would upset the balance between Order and Chaos. So either 2 things would happen. Dr.Fate would be erased as well to reset the balance. Or another being of Chaos would appear. Trust, me Klarion is the least terrifying of the other beings of Chaos.

Your reaction to Dr Fate....I get the feeling, but he pretty much is necessary to the league against so many magical and chaos ennemies. Not that many in the league can fight them and his whole job is to bring order...kinda of a police against chaos in the multiverses...He is closer to Doctor Strange in terms of power, and he is really not a bad guy per says...He just need a powerful magical host !

Nabu is not only not human, he isn't even corporeal. His views on what is right or wrong are nearly incomprehensible to humans.

It's also worth noting that as Nabu is a Lord of Order, Klarion is a Lord of Chaos.

One of the best episodes, the Zatanna stuff is sad but great because of the great writing, a couple of great twists like when Billy is in the plane and the girl turns 18 and disappears. Yup, top notch quality episode.

Zatanna shoves the others out so she can cry about her dad being trapped by a helmet. Robin looks back, with a face that says, "call me when a villain kills your whole family by cutting their fucking trapeze."

The Doctor Fate from Justice League (90's) was a nicer, more vague character than the one in Young Justice. A version of Kent Nelson living with his wife Inza in the Tower of Fate. The other version of Fate is hilarious: in Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay, Nabu chose a bonehead stripper named Steele Maxum.

Imagine how many children and babies were killed in those few hours. kids disappearing of planes falling, unattended hospitals and surgeries gone incomplete. Kids in bodies of water without a parent. Millions of kids would of died within the first few hours. This episode is the one that pisses me off the most, I know its just a show but still
