Miss Asia Pacific World 2014 ဆုရှင် မေမြတ်နိုး သည် ၂၀၁၄ ခုနှစ် စက်တင်ဘာ (၂) ရက်က ရန်ကုန်မြို့ရှိ House of Memory စားသောက်ဆိုင်တွင် သတင်းစာရှင်းလင်းပွဲ ပြုလုပ်ခဲ့သည်။ အလှမယ် မေမြတ်နိုး ကို ပွဲစီစဉ်သူ အေဂျင်စီဘက်မှ သူခိုးနဲ့ လူလိမ်လို့ စွပ်စွဲခြင်းကို မတောင်းပန်လျှင် အမေရိကန်ဒေါ်လာ တစ်သိန်း တန်ကြေးရှိသည့် သရဖူကို ပြန်လည်ပေးအပ်မည် မဟုတ်ကြောင်း ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။ အေဂျင်စီဘက်မှ ပြိုင်ပွဲအပြီးတွင် တောင်ကိုရီးယားနိုင်ငံမှ ထွက်ပြေးသွားသည်ဟု စွပ်စွဲကာ သူမ၏ ရင်သားအစားထိုးခြင်းအတွက် အခကြေးငွေယူခဲ့သည်ဟုလည်း စွပ်စွဲခဲ့သည်။ မေမြတ်နိုးသည် ၂၀၁၄ ခုနှစ် မေလတွင် သရဖူဆောင်းခဲ့သော်လည်း နောက်ပိုင်းတွင် အလှမယ်ရာထူးမှ ဖြုတ်ချခံခဲ့ရပြီး စွပ်စွဲခံခဲ့ရသည်။
@Myanmar Celebrity Update : May Myat Noe, winner of Miss Asia Pacific World 2014, held a press conference at the House of Memory restaurant in Yangon on September 2, 2014. The dethroned Myanmar beauty queen says she will not return the crown, which is supposedly worth 100,000 US dollars, until the organizers apologize to her for calling her a thief and liar. The sponsoring agency of the beauty contest accuse her of running away with the tiara from South Korea after the contest and also claims to have paid for her breast implants. Better listen to John Lwin's comment to this case. This case wouldn't get this big if the national director found a better way to solve the problem between her and May Myant Noe's + her mum. The thing that the national director asked for help from the korean organisations made this case worse .

This placed HlaNuTun in a tight corner after heavy investment in you. The ND Hla Nu Tun DID consult and inform the Korean Office and your entry into the Pageant was rather reluctantly accepted. Several incidents of conflict compounded. Misunderstandings did take place later. Your absconding with the tiara, now claimed to be a "Prop" of the Pageant inflamed the situation. Don't neglect your schooling. Beauty is only skin deep. Education is longer lasting. You are an "articulate" multilingual girl.
